about the 1.15 fix (588 reads, 7 replies)
I recently downloaded the 1.15 fix for the download status and the black screen at end of game. However, it requires the user to alt+tab from the game to the desktop and run the fix everytime starcraft is started. That pisses me off.

Is there any way to make it run at the same time that Starcraft runs. Alternatively, is it possible to activate it with a shortcut (example: alt+9) instead of alt+tabbing all the time?

Edit: I have tried to edit the shortcut by right clicking on the load icon etc but it keeps minimizing starcraft, so no point. Anyway for the fix to be activated without the minimization of the game?

you could make a bat file... if you put in a little delay it should work fine...


open a notepad file, and enter:

"full filepath of starcraft.exe" (i.e. "C:\starcraft.exe")
PING 1.1.1.1 -n 5 -w 1000 >NUL
"full filepath of fix" (i.e. "C:\fix.whatever")

and save it as anything.bat If that doesn't work, change 5 to something higher, that's how many seconds it'll delay before running the patch

I hosted an exactly same topic on netwars.pl. the answer was "make a bat file" ;P

this is Monikons site. You can find antyhing useful for starcraft there. New patch or fixes even 1 day after announce. He also made an own version of sc called monisc it's small, cutted graphic and sp mode out ;) Monikon - Gosu.
