starcraft crashes ALL THE TIME! (401 reads, 9 replies, 1 year ago)
Hi, iv never had any problems with my starcraft always been able to update and never had any unusual things happen, but ever since 1.15 starcraft hav been crashing ever so often when the game is done, and i keep losing connection to battle.net when playing. and about a week ago it's every single time that i'm in a game. is it just 1,15 that doing every one up the ass or is there somthing i can do?

just incase your wondering, yes i have forwarded me ports, and i use the SCBW_SYK0.iso image.

yea yea me to man it used to happen every now and then but now everytime i play 3:3 or more players i always end up black screened =( all you can really do to get outta it is ctrl alt delete windows key and alt f4 =(((

nope xp, with updates and sp2 #1 have you tried reinstalling sc? because i could do that but i really don't want to since i have to get my old com up and running to get the original iso files and my cd key

I don't know how to fix this, but I have gotten problems as well, don't know if its my new hardware (doubt it), but sometimes after games I get black screened like #1 has said and I have to task manager it or alt f4. I've also had problems where the zerg music would repeat and if i f10 or go to any menu the game freezes.

happens to me2 in 3v3 but i usually tink someone just drop hacks, but then it happened to me to in 1v1's ;( so i dunno i think it s there patch

It's a problem with patch 1.15 when the game tries to save the replay as 'Lastreplay' after a game. Sometimes it's saves replays successfully but other times it doesn't and hence the game crashes 'blank screen'.

Luckily there is a patch fix for it. I can't remember where I downloaded mine but if u google 'Starcraft patch fix 1.15' you will find a range of sites where you can download it.

Note: To get it working you must start SC first and then you have to Alt + Tab back into Windows and inject the dll. Double clicking the .exe file will inject the file. I must warn you all that sometimes SC doesn't like the patch fix and you wont be able to connect to BattleNet (but just keep trying because you will eventually connect). In some cases you might get booted from BattleNet for a few minutes.

Personally I've had no problem with the patch fix except from not being able to log on a few times and being booted off BattleNet once. Overall it works great and you also get to see the map download while waiting for a game to start.

I hope this helps!

Edit: Oh BTW, you have to inject the dll EVERY time you start SC.

Since you get to see the Map download does it give you a loss due to an alterd code like some of the other programs that let you view the dl?

Some ignorant people see that and automatically accuse you of hacking. Thats why I ask.

No you wont get loss. This patch fix does alter the code slighty though hence why I got booted off once. If you are having trouble connecting to a server, restart SC, enter a server and then apply patch.

I wouldn't advise using this patch on servers like ICCUP or with other Anti-Hack programs because I'm not sure how SC will react.

doe's anyone know if that hack that made sc crash when you saved a replay still works?

because that could be it another reason why it crashes

It's funny because it's not the same thing that happens now i started getting a message that says starcraft has made an illegal action press ok to close after about 20 sec. of black screen.
