Science vessel > scourge (477 reads, 8 replies)
Can anyone give me links to any replays or vods (youtube or whatever) of vessels destroying scourge with irradiate? It's for an internet arguement hahaha. Specifically using irradiate on themselves and retreating from scourge, having the irrad killing the scourge before they hit the vessel(s).

I know I've seen it before, even a few times, thanks guys.

i've seen it once (nada vs ameba), tryed it many times - no success, tryed also irradiateing vessels and driving them back from scourges - the thing u will do with that is hurt ur marines.
why not marine vs scourge .. it is better.

exept ofcourse the zerg sends first his army then scourge. In that way u should target scourges with a few marines.

I'm talking about using irradiate to protect your vessels from scourge when you go on defiler/ukltralisk raids. (or at least to reduce any casualties) it's a bit of a waste to use it unless in a dire situation ie: no marines anywhere nearby.

Just use matrix if you're so worried. besides average users can't perform this because scourge are faster than vessels. so it's better for US to use matrix if they do decide to intercept them.

Just tell the guy you're arguing with that its possible, although its a lot easier to just irradiate 1 scourge and watch the others die around it due to no ones ability to control a unit that is so small and dies so fast individually.

#7 The problem is that he refused to believe that you shouldn't be so afraid of scourge and that defiler ultra ling is unbeatable against terran (he plays Z). His arguement there was that irradiate takes too long to kill during battles and the irradiates on ultras melt marines, I simply stated that you should be trying to do irrad raids pretty much constantly using the ultras to splash lings and killing defilers before they get out and give you problems in the first place.

He said and I quote "you can't do that because I have scourge" I said killing the defilers is worth losing 1 or 2 vessels and he replied "LOL MORE LIKE 12 VESSELS" I said it was possible to irradiate the scourge and/or your own vessels while retreating back to marine cover from 2 control groups of scourge, to take less minerla/gas loss than the damage you caused (not to mention restricting dark swarm use).

Most of all it's important not to fear zerg in TvZ or they've already won (and expanded everywhere) right? After all fear is the mind killer.

His main arguement against this was that no pros do it....but I thought, from what I'd seen, most TvZ seems to be over before mass ultra/ling + defiler.

I'm beginning to think I am a complete noob like he said =(

Bah...maybe I should just quit before I end up making myself look stupid in front of people better than me.
