I just looked around the WGT forum on random today, while waiting for this disc hacker on iccup to give up... came across an interesting reply by a WGT admin. Actually slightly informative this time: Seems the server is not the real problem at all.

Trust me we're not done. We just have to get more reliable people in the future. The problem's we are facing are internal and I can't really talk about it. Things will be changing though.

I thought it was interesting enough to share here at least, as I'm sure many are desperatly hungering for news on what's going on. Just like me

So there is still hope that WGT will be up, will be interesting to see if they can compete with ICCup now though

no Ryp, not at all. They should launch it in sc1, and then go over to sc2, aswell, as soon as its out.
But now, its not out, and the ppl want a ladder!

WGT is always waiting for something

We have a fantastic ladder called Iccup. It's nearly like PGT, even some admins are the same.
