Hi guys:

I just made some successful investments so I'd like to spend some money :D
One thing I am looking forward to buy is a new keyboard for myself. I read the razer tarantula and many people say it's good. So is there anyone using it? I'd like to hear your opinion about it. Secondly, if you have any good keyboard that you think it's wondeful and it's a "must recommand", I'd also like to hear your opinion.

Since I started off this topic I will start share my knowledge about my own hardwares. I owned a Razer diamondback at first and later I changed to Deathadder. I found their precision and speed are pretty much the same, maybe deathadder a bit bettter. But what I liked the most from deathadder is that it fits my hand quite well so I dont get tired that quickly.

So please share your knowledge about the hardwares :D

As for keyboard, I haven't used the Razer one. I had the copperhead mouse a while back but soon I switched back to the MX310 mouse, which I still like alot.

I'm using a Logitech UltraX Keyboard 5 Pack (http://www.superwarehouse.com/images/products/9673530403.jpg) and I'm so satisfied with it. It's almost the same kind of buttons as in a laptop, I love how easy they are to push. (I'm not saying it's as tight as a laptop, and the buttons aren't replaced so it's all good).

that logitech ultrax keyboard looks pretty nice, but i read that its laptop keys, and i dono if their good for gaming or not :s ... how is playing with it genie?

my mouse is a logitech notebook optical. its pretty good, i prefer small mouse cos how much room i got to move around.

so what are big mouse's like to game with? i mean like mouse's that take the whole shape of ur hand :s

Using laptop keyboard. Keyboard doesn't matter at all, imo, unless it's a really HORRIBLE one. Otherwise it's just getting used to. Mouse is a little more important, but once again it's all about getting used to it. Personally I have my trusted mx510. Never felt the need of switching

Well from my knowledge is that Deathadder is better than copperhead because in starcraft, in my opinion, precision of mouse > speed. Of couse it might be different from people depending their gaming habbit because some players do like it faster than higher precision, maybe it dpends on the race too. But for me, I think precision is much more important compare to a higher speed. For me, I dont even put it to fastest mode, I am only at 1200 dpi I think.

ALso, does anyone here own a razer tarantula? I'd like to hear ur experience.

yeah precision is more important than speed, although the 2 of them kinda go hand in hand

so the razer deathadder is good for SC?

cos im assuming most the good mouse's that are listed are usually good for fps. so il maybe go for the deathadder then ^^;

i am a fps play.

i use mx510 and steelpad qck+ surface. it's very quick and precise.

as for the keyboard, i have a cheap logitech one, and its great coz it has hard large buttons, easy to hit and you can spam easier ( in rts games )...also the durability is high coz it's working fine for 3 years now.

well i just ordered the razer deathadder, so il see how that goes ^^

about keyboards... i dono, im thinking about getting a new one, i think proper keyboards are probably better for gaming rather than laptop style keyboards like #1's. but i would actually consider buying that, because this one now is really old, and i wouldnt mind a change :P

but larger proper gaming keyboards im not a big fan of, and i dont have the room for them on my worktop just cos of the layout of things..

but anyone got an recommendations also for keyboards?

laptop style keyboards > all, coz they work better even if you just hit an edge of a key.

logitech internet navigator keyboard was and still is the best imo.
currently used to logitech mx 518 for nearly 1 year but its weight and handling suxx.
i prefer tiny small mice with fast movement.
best one was logitech ps/2 2 button wheel mouse on 200 mhz so far.
2nd place is ms intellimouse, really good handling, speed and accuracy.
nothing to compare with these mice.
razer and all else logitech mouse are really way behind these mice imo. the dpi etc. wont give you much expect some less $ on your bank account..
btw. all the following logitech keyboards suxx pretty hard. bad layout, bad button placement and stuff like that. who needs a display in the keyboard? lol.
logitech, go back to the old, good style!

well im limited to desk space, the keyboard i got now is like standard size n stuff, although i think id rather prefer a smaller keyboard

im thinking about maybe trying to get one of these:
http://www.the-gadgeteer.com/review/brando_super_slim_keyboard

think maybe the control key might be a bit of a problem though...

either that or #1's keyboard ;o

psycrowe: Yeah I have seen that keyboard many times in Maplins

Personally i prefer any keyboard whose buttons are easy to push and the ctrl and shift buttons are of reasonable size.

As for mouse I am using standard logitech pilot £15 from Curry's!!! woo!!!
