multi-level terrain (1527 reads, 21 replies)
As you can see in colossus in-game footage, there is
multiple-level terrain. This will make maps and battles
more versatile and interesting. Marines have no problem
shooting col in video, but can you imagine vulture
throwing mine that high, or tank in normal mode shooting
60 degrees up to cliff ?

And the miss % is probably very high too. It's surely interesting and can make for lots of strategic battles and so on, I guess this also is a way to intergrate air more into your ordinary army.

Actually they do have troubles fireing uphill. It's a lesser hitratio, but it's easy to miss (no pun intended...).

but there is only "low ground" and "high ground" in sc1. There is more levels in sc2 (obvious from video). If there won't be any levels limit, would it be possible to shoot for example 5 levels up/down ?

look at twilight, space, or desert.

Sunken ground, Dirt, Structure (Temple), High Dirt, High Sunken ground, High Structure (Temple).
