warships ... stronger warp link ... standard gateway.

This implies that the stargate is simply a more powerful version of a gateway.

In that case, it should be a simple matter of turning down the power, and zealots, immortals and stalkers can walk through the stargate easily, right?

looks like they'll have to make a pretty big jump into those hoops ;p
phase prism prolly can tho.
btw one of the stargates in the bottom picture of sc2.com stargate section, it doesn't have the side shields ;o prolly half done.

Not to mention they are in the air. U think zealots are looking forward to falling like 100 meters just when they morph?
