Colossus: an Air unit. (630 reads, 5 replies)

You will notice how the turrets are attacking the colossus.

So this make the colossus some kind of air unit that can be attacked by melee ground units. I had hopes of being able to do fasts attacks with colossus into the mineral line, not gonna be that easy anymore.

Old news buddy...
The Colossus is not an air unit. It's very logical that turrets can attack such a huge machine.

we've seen that colossus get GROUND armor upgrade like zealot and not like phoenix so its a ground unit...
maybe blizz made anti-air attacks beeing able to shoot on units jumping over cliffs (so they would be able to shoot at reapers when they just jump down/up a cliff) or beeing big enough to do so

Word of advice, if you've discovered something about SC2...chances are it's already been posted here before. GosuGamers has always been quick on the uptake, being one of the first to release new information on SC2...ever since it broadcasted the SC2 announcement live.

of course it's a ground unit, what I meant it's some kind of air unit in it's fuction, since he can just ignore the terrain (not all of it though). First I thought it would be able to be a good base raider, mostly good against a workers in the mineral line, but with air defenses being able to bring him down it's not gonna be that easy.

I see the logic in that since it's a huge tall machine, however I didn't see anyone pointing this detail out so I made a post about it.

Edit: Ok I just found the thread you guys are refering to, move along I guess nothing to see here.

they already got stalkers that can blink into some1s base, which is pretty good against smaller units so im guessing workers as well
