So far, we've seen very little zerg action in SC2. I would like to discuss the reasons for it.

We've seen lots of pvt, or rather, P a lot, but in every situation, we always see protoss battling terran, as if Terran were the Plague of the universe and not the Zerg.

Of course, there could just be the simplest answer: they aren't done with zerg yet, so they can't show anything. That is probably right.

However, Blizzard ...
1. Could have started with any race.
2. Is not dumb.

They definately CHOSE to start with toss and terran first, for their reasons, for whatever reasons.

Could it be that the Zerg play some major important vital role that they want to release as a bombshell to fuel momentum just before release? (momentum is high now, but will go down all the way till release ... maybe showing us Zerg is going to drive up interest again).

Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

They're following the trend of Zerg being the 'enemy' of the other two races, so they're not focusing on them yet. They want to give the impression that T and P are just so damn powerful and they can unleash so much firepower on those poor little zerglings that it's not even funny. They'll wait until people get the impression that P and T are invincible, then unleash the new (probably really nasty) zerg swarm, complete with new slimey little bloodthirsty creatures that just obliterate a (seemingly) invincible terran army with one fell swoop. They'll get there soon, trust me, and it will be AWESOME!

*when has Blizzard let us down before?

hahaha omg I would laugh so hard, if those were the units of Zerg... Many strategies would come: Mass zerglings, Mass zerglings, Mass zerglings+mutas+banelings...

since zerg is centered around massing it's probably not as showy as the other races, especially not attractive to wc3 players for example.

they are showing PvT... & judging by the order they have it on sc2.com, i'm assuming next they'll show TvZ, and then ZvP... the 3 easiest matchups.. maybe they are trying to prove that balance is maintained and even more perfected on this sequel while buying time for the actual release, so they'll throw new things at us to keep the interest up

T has not been shown much either yet... scv, marines, firebats, dropships, reapers, tanks.. thats it. only 1 new unit lol.. and a few buildings.. so mostly they showed what will be used in TvZ, if sc2 is anything like the original then we can't expect a serious TvP battle to consist of marines tanks and battlecruisers as a common build..

yea but maybe with the new plot , tEH TRU3 ENEM13S are going to be the toss , and not the zerg anymore . Cause they could be trying to convert everything and everyone to there way of thinking you know , or could it be the Terran ?

anyway, the only goal of zergs are to spread death over the univers , and they have less candy eye than toss .
This could be a reason , don't you think ?

Or could it be Ori? haha

In my opinion the only reason is that they aren't done with them yet. They are working and intrducing only Toss power (except of banelings and reapers) and i think Zergs will be introduced at least. But they should hurry little bit, if they want to come with alfa in august, all units should be made till then.

OT: I don't want to create new topic, but did you notice that in the new video cannons are kinda moving? (When terrans attack toss' base)

yeah, those cannons were moving. From what we've heard, the cannons can turn into energy and move within the psi energy field. We've also heard that if the pylon is destroyed while the cannons are in energy form, they all die ...

I think that they have the game released at 90% or like, without battle.net and some imbalance issues. They are showing us protoss because is one of the most expectacular races high technology etc... and terran because is "our" race, from the earth. More terran units, new units, expectacular units, and zerg units will be shown in a expectacular video soon. I HOPE >_<
And in blizzcon i think that we will have orgasms viewing the new videos.

In the first game demo.. They talked about "or else terrans will only serve to feed the zerg". I wonder if there is more infestation thingys in SC2.. :2

Other ting:
PC GAMER podcast talks about zerg beeing radical different in SCII

In the 21 min demo a Protoss talks abot the foolish terrans:
''They will serve only to feed the Zerg swarm''

Will zerg drink blood in SCII ? ;-)

Also soul hunter will be getting stronger the more souls it kills...

Hopefully the zerg have alot of different abilities in SC2, because in SC1 I can name alot that are never or rarely even used.

lol, I use burrow all the time. It's GREAT for killing the first group of mm's that come ... they see 6 lings, so they a-move out ... then 24 pop out of the ground and murder them and then harass the mining line ... life is good.
