The Samsung Euro Championship, dated to the 10th of March is just around the corner. As they announced that only 1 player for each game will take part, some nations had to have an elimination to settle who to travel to Hannover, Germany. In Germany, Mondragon faced Fisheye for representing their country.
Samsung Euro Championship, a second chance for the European to show their strength? A happy reunion a couple of months after the World Cyber Games? A starfilled tournament will a lot of prize money on stake, and of course the honor of being crowned the best player in Europe. The 10th of March is the date where Samsung Euro Championships in Hannover, Germany will take place. During the massive CeBIT convention the wellknown European StarCraft players will fight for their honor and prize money.
Mondragon versus Fisheye in the elimination
Some of the participating nations that participated in WCG had fortunately more than one representant for StarCraft, and in some cases they were tied in the end. This means that an elimination will be held for the two best players to settle the one going to Hannover. In Germany, those two players in the important best of seven round were

FiSheYe[pG]. This match was played last Tuesday at 18:00 CET, and was set up to be one of the hottest matches this week. It turned out to be a very tight match, but in the end Mondragon proved stronger and won with 4-3.

Homefield for Mondragon - 500 kilometers of travelling
This means that Mondragon will be heading 500 kilomenters to Hannover, Germany representing his country in the StarCraft tournament. By many in the Brood War scene, Mondragon is considered the top player in Europe, is this the time for him to prove it? Or will he be beaten by some other European? Mondragon himself says that he is looking forward to meeting the guys he met last year in USA, and that he doesn't put too much effort in winning it. "If I win the tournament, it's nice, otherwise I'll enjoy the weekend there. " he says to GosuGamers.net. He probably will practise some before the event, but not so intense.Best in Europe? When asked of which player is best in Europe Mondragon stated that he didn't know, but the 10th of March we will be able to give that title to someone, who also will be handed prize money to enjoy his holiday in Hannover, or for something else.
