Evil Geniuses sat down with two of their best players - Greg "Idra" Fields and Jin Young "JYP" Park for a quick chat. The EG duo break down their recent matches at the Global StarCraft 2 League as well as the ones to come.

- "I thought I’d advance," says Idra, who fell in the Ro32 after placing in one of the toughest groups of the round. "NesTea isn’t what he used to be and I practiced a ton for Mvp and felt really good about my ZvT."

Idra goes through both his matches, commenting on how NesTea's 13 gas/12 pool hard-countered his quick baneling tech in the opening set and admits that he got tricked by Lucky into losing his second ZvZ 1-2.

- "Second game I got a bit of a lead off early ling exchanges and I saw him put down 2 gas at his natural. Normally means lair and if you have an advantage and they go lair you can bust them with roach bane. Unfortunately that double gas was just a trick and he was doing a hatch tech roach allin, so I lost. Should’ve just played conservatively but I thought I saw an opportunity and went for it. Last game I didn’t scout well enough. If I’d had another 30 seconds my upgrades and tech would’ve kicked in. I saw him send a round of drones to his third and thought I had time to tech and drone. I guess they were just a transfer or he didn’t make as many as I thought."

How is Greg looking forward to his Code A Ro48 match against Avenge? The zerg ace of EG once again expresses his disgust of the ZvP match-up but he is confident that with the help from team SlayerS he can advance further into Code A.

His protoss teammate JYP, who recently returned to Korea after a third place at the HomeStory Cup 4, also drew a hard lot and was likewise eliminated in the Ro32 after sharing a group with Genius, DongRaeGu and sC. JYP takes the time to comment on his game against the MVP terran and the roots behind his PvT misfortunes.

- "The reason I struggle against Terran is 1-1-1, but as for GSL and GSTL, not playing as well on televised matches as I usually do during practice and losing many games in rather silly manners in the past have negatively affected my mentality and made me get overly nervous and tense. It’s something I need to overcome as soon as possible."

For Terran, I need to overcome my negative mentality," says JYP before wrapping up the interview. "As for my games against DongRaeGu, I made little mistakes that added up and eventually led me to lose."
