HuK and SeleCT took important victories over Rain and Trickster, respectively. Both foreigners showed amazing play and punished every mistake of their opponents swiftly, without hesitation.
Select dominated Trickster with a quick 2-0. Select's bio micro was just too good for the Korean protoss and even after a bad engagement for the terran in the second set, Select was able to come back and seize his flawless victory.
HuK's win was not as easy. He and Rain played a 40-minute first set which HuK pulled off after a beautiful zealot surround on Rain's bio. In the second set, though, HuK's colossi were caught out of position and the game swung back to equilibrium. The final set on Metalopolis was marked by constant early game aggression from both sides. A slight overextension by HuK led him to losing many units to Rain's bunkers and the Korean went on the counter offensive. However, he could not defeat HuK in time and the protoss lived until the most precious storms, which sealed the deal for the Canadian.
Select thus now tops his group with a 3-1 overall score. HuK's victory allowed him to get above Rain in Group A. Coca is still the leader in this group, though, with a 3-0 score.
