| Flash plays very efficiently, with not many wasted movements. Honestly, every action above 300apm is almost always a useless one. I'm sure Flash even has some compulsive hotkey strokes that he selects. People have ticks--they'll cycle through gateways for no reason, click the mouse five times to send a probe instead of once, etc. When I see people with 400apm I don't think, "holy crap, that guy is fast," I think, "holy crap, that guy can play and spam simultaneously!" It doesn't really hurt gameplay, but it's not really an indicator at the pro level that you're doing more than your opponent. My guess is that Flash is just more efficient with his keystrokes and mouseclicks. |
| 2 funny facts from analyzing the replay... FBH - 58% hotkey, Flash - 36% hotkey. So the APM difference is basically FBH hotkeying all kinds of useless crap. And second... Flash hotkeys his CC 1 to 0 as soon as the match starts :) It's funny how most of the pros who dominated KESPA and the leagues at some point were below or about 300 APM (but not around 400 and such). Savior was about 250, Yellow the same, Boxer about 275, OOV about 250. There are a few exceptions, of course, like Nada or July, but they started at about the same level and got faster over time. July was about 275 APM when he played in WGTour Speed Ladder and Nada was the same when he was dominating Gamei. So screw the goddamn hotkeys already. It's nice to have them displayed, because it's a quick indicator of a fake or authentic replay, but let's cut it out with the "Flash is slow" crap already. |
