DreamHack aims for <b>new world record</b>!

10,000 participants the 30th November to 3rd December?


DreamHack aims to break their own Guiness world record in number of participants on a Local Area Network. The ambition is to get 10,000 persons to be participating in Jönköping, Sweden.

Today the official tournaments have been announed.

Last year over 7,538 people were at DreamHack. The above picture is years old when DreamHack was in Gothenburg.


GosuGamers, helping DreamHack with the official tournaments, will be there to organize StarCraft, WarCraft III and WC3: Defender of the Ancients (DotA) tournaments. As an addition to the other standard DreamHack tournaments in Counter-Strike, Need for Speed and FIFA, DreamHack announced to be host for the CPL Nordic (Counter-Strike and Quake 3) in this winter event.

No prizes have been officially released yet but the dates are 30th November to 3rd December. Tickets is said to be released shortly and GosuGamers will update you prior to that date.

Last DreamHack the finals in StarCraft were battled out on the main stage between Sweden DaZe and Poland Draco. In the WarCraft tournament Sweden ElakeDuck was up against Czech Republic Giacomo. This year GosuGamers hope for an even more exciting tournament and are looking forward to a new world record.
