WEG > MIL for Moon and Sweet

[s]korea[/s]

Moon and Sweet will miss the ESWC and CPL qualifier, due to choosing WEG Masters 2006 over MBC International League. The two events are overlapped of dates, and they can only take part in one of them.

The two Korean top players MYM]Moon (picture) and WE.IGE.Sweet are both taking part in WEG Masters 2006 and MBCGame International League (MIL), with good results from both. In MIL they both qualified for the second group stage, and in WEG Masters Moon has 2-0 in his group so far, and Sweet has 1-1. However, due to overlapping dates of MIL and WEG, Moon and Sweet had to chose only one league. They chose WEG Masters 2006.

With that decision, they don't only miss out on the Korean league MIL, but also being able to qualify for Electronic World Sports Cup and the World eSports Festival, since MIL worked as a qualifier tournament for the two events later this year. Now don't go blame MIL for preventing the players for not taking part in the other events. WEG Masters 2006 made changes in their schedule, which accidentally overlapped the MIL schedule.

Things might not be over yet though, as the second group stage of MIL will now include many walkover wins, and MBCGame losing some of their most popular players in the league. Also, as apelsinlax writes at SK-Gaming, they could simply change the playdays so that Moon and Sweet could play their matches on Saturday instead of Friday. Let's hope for the best.
