PGTour's Tournament News

[s]pgtour[/s]

What happens when a popular ladder host an Anniversary Tournament and plans to close the season 2 days earlier than proposed? Not much, it just happens and the ladder goes with it.

PGTour has been a mainstream of games for months now since it has been back online. It has been more active than ever and getting new members everyday of every country and race.

Big Event, Big Ladder, Big Finals

About a year ago PGTour re-opened its doors to the public with the look as you see it now. For a while though it was done, but that did not discourage anyone, and soon enough it was back up on solid ground once again with a great sponsor. For the 1 year anniversary the PGTour staff has proposed an Anniversary Tournament with cash prizes to the top 3 gamers. With $300 USD in prizes there will be plenty enough prize money to go to all three top gamers. Along with the prize money they will receive a point bonus as well.

3rd400 points$50 USD

The registration for the tournament began today at 17:00 CET. About 18:00 CET is when the tournament actually started. As of now all four 32 mini-tournaments have been completed and the 4 winners have been declared.

Anniversary-4 WinnerCanada Testie

From there the winners were brought together to play in a final tournament to see who would advance and who would stay back. All you needed was 2 victories from here to win the $175 USD top prize. But, it was not that easy especially around this skill level.

So, it would be up to the two Koreans to decide who would win the top prize. While Canada Testie and Singapore registerforfun would play for the 3rd place prize.

As of now the finals have not been posted, nor has the staff released a finals date. All that will be updated as soon as possible though, so make sure to check in every once and a while for the results.

Don't Get Short With Me

PGTour has announced that it will shorten the Revival Season or Season IV by 2 whole days. So instead of the intended date Friday, October 21st the ladder will close on Wednesday, October 19th. The reason for this abrupt season shorten is so that Russia Gybs, the man who makes B.Net-X possible, can make changes and updates to the server so that Season V will be better than the before seasons.

So if you want to get in any last minute games or try to reach your goal rank, time is running out, so hop to it and get your back into it!
