F91 rofl-stomps Nony in LIQUIBITION

liquibition.jpg

In another vivid display of foreign dominance, F91 destroyed Nony 4-2 in Liquibition #29

.

F91 may have even taken the Bo7 with a 4-1 victory, but after a disconnect in Game 5, judges ruled that the win be handed over to Nony. Read on for a quick analysis of the games.

Game 1: Colosseum II

Both players open up with standard builds. F91 goes for a 9 pool and Nony responds by warping in 2 cannons before his FE. Nony proceeds to tech straight to archives while F91 works towards a 5 hatch hydra push. Both players then proceed to attack each other's mains. Nony gets absolutely nothing done, while F91 snipes probes and ALL of Nony's HTs with his Altair Muta. F91 then pushes with mass hydra for the win.

Game 2: Andromeda

F91 starts this game with an overpool and Nony opens by laying down 1 cannon after scouting wrong before his FE. F91 gets speedlings before going lair and spire, and Nony begins to get his robo bay and plus-1 air attack. F91 will have none of this though, and efficiently rolls over Nony's corsairs with muta and scourge until Nony GGs.

Game 3: Blue Storm

A good game for Protoss players to learn what not to do. F91 opens with 9 pool and Nony does exactly what you should not do on a two player map by laying down one cannon, then FE, then another cannon. F91 thanks Nony for doing this, and walks into Nony's main with his lings. With good probe micro, Nony COULD have handled this, but he actually says "I'm not even gonna try" and GGs. Apparently, Nony has never heard of the Alamo. F91 wins.

Game 4: Loki II

Against the ropes, Nony finally takes Day's constant advice and opens with a 2 gate build (which doesn't even satisfy Day). F91 aims for a more economic game by going 12 hatch. Nony puts on early pressure while expanding to his natural, and F91 is forced to put down 2 sunkens. While F91 techs to lair, Nony confuses me by going 2 stargate. F91 pushes with lurker/hyra and takes out Nony's robo bay which he has to rm in order to get obs, but while this is going on Nony melts all of F91's overlords like they're made of milk chocolate. F91 never recovers from this and Nony pushes in later for the win.

Game 5: Tau Cross **CONTROVERSY**

F91 opens with 9 pool and Nony lays down one cannon before FE. F91 makes 3 hatches and lair techs, and Nony wastes a small group with a haphazard push. F91 gets 5 hatch and Nony is going 4 gate archon. F91 masses hydra, then with a small group of Altair Muta snipes almost all of Nony's HTs. Big battle happens and Nony walks over F91. Nony pushes into F91's expansion by sending in all his HT first, and they all get sniped. Again.

It would seem that Nony hates HTs...probably because they're blurry. Another big battle begins to ensue, when Nony disconnects. Judges rule that Nony wins the game.

Game 6: Colosseum II

F91 opens with 12 hatch while Nony lays down one cannon before FE, having scouted in the wrong direction. F91 goes 3 hatch into lair tech into 5 hatch hydra push again, while Nony goes for corsair/reaver, but confuses me again by getting 2 reavers before shuttle. He then goes to harass, but waltzes into a bunch of hydra and almost loses his shuttle. While getting storm tech, he tries to harass with corsairs, but F91 is prepared with hydra. F91 then harasses with muta/scourge and snipes both reavers and the HTs. Again again. F91 follows this up with a mass hydra pincer attack and Nony GGs.

At the end of the day, what we learn is that F91 is a beast. Also Nony hates his HTs.
