Strelok: 'I think this build order works very well'

Tell me about the changes in your playstyle. How did you practice for it, and did you feel it was a success?
- In some games against Mondragon I tried new build order - fast expansion into fast vessel. 4 times I played it - 4 times I won games, so I think this build order works very well.

Never the less it's a build order for 1-2 tournaments, Zergs will find a counter, so I will need to change it soon. This is not my build order, it was recommended to me by Androide on WCG before games against Luxury. In those games I decided not to use it - but it helped me to win GSL. Never the less, I had near same kind of strategy, so with addition with the idea of fast vessel. It works really great! :)

Do you think the maps for the finals was to your advantage against Mondragon?
- Maps were normal. There were Zerg maps, there were Terran maps. In WCG the maps really suited Zerg way more than to Terran.

Second game, what went wrong?
- I scouted bad so I didn't know his build order exactly. If I added 1-2 firebats to my first attack it would have been over.

You said in an interview that your StarCraft future was to be decided after GSL. Will you continue playing after this success?
- I won't quit StarCraft. However I can't promise I will show same kind of the result during the next few months. I will work on perspective of next big events and of course many time will be given to my project: SC:BW lessons. I remember this project and will recruit a new group of students during next 1-2 weeks.

Have you made any plans yet what you will do with the prize money?
- I have a few ideas, but not sure. It will take some time to get those money, my plans can change...

GameStar Liga season 2 is supposed to begin in the start of 2009. Do you intend to defend your title?
- Wow nice info! TSL, PGL, GSL - all coming in the start of next year! So I think I won't have many time to rest! Of course I will prepare for next big events!

How could the end of 2008 become any better for Strelok?
- I'm gonna qualify to PGL and help my team defend the WGTour and ICCUP titles, also I will try to show rather good result in ESL, though it's not my main aim really. Much more plans I have in real life. Uhh, it's great even to think about everything I plan to do this year!

Any last words?
- I also want to thank people who cheered for me during WCG and GSL. It really helped me!
