ClouD, Bisu and Frozean interviewed

Posted by "sD.AnTstYle" 3 years ago

Italian protoss ClouD and progamers Bisu and Frozean have been interviewed about the Spirit tournament, the OSL, and more.

Bisu talks about his entry into the top 8 of the Incruit OSL, and Frozean talks about his win in the MSL, getting him into the ro16 where he will face NaDa.

ClouD, who is currently leading his group in the ESL Major Series, discusses himself, the top few foreign players of each race (of which he names himself as one), his ideas on the reality of the potential to be a progamer, and his thoughts on SC2.

Check out the three interviews at the links below!

The Chinese duo are better than all of those other foreign tosses. The only reason why they're not ranked so high is because Chinese leagues are not taken into account. Look at Legend's game list and you only see European events like iCCup leagues and no Chinese tournaments like G-League. Otherwise Legend would probably be at the top of the ranking now.

Legend is easily at the level of a Korean semi-pro and he beat pros like Horang2, Fancy, Devil, etc in off-line events where great prizes were at stake people were 100% serious.

Pj beat Savior 2-1 in WCG and I doubt he's any worse than Legend.

What on God's beautiful blue planet is wrong with you guys?

What has Cloud ever done to make you people bash him just because his opinions don't match yours.

At first I didn't want to give a ranking but they said it catches people attention so I had to. I knew my thoughts would disappoint many people, like putting myself in the top 3 protosses and not JF, or not considering the chinese scene. But well all my considerations are given after I played basically every top foreign player over the last year and to me these are the guys I have the most troubles to play against. To people arguing about PJ and LX, as far as I've seen they are not half as good as you think. My opinion is that they are hugely overrated, especially PJ. I don't know other chinese top players anyway, their community doesn't interact at all with ours, and I don't even consider them "foreigners". They live in Asia, play with koreans pro more often than us, have their own progamers and sponsored pro teams. It's a totally different environment which is much closer to Korean's than the rest of the world's.
And btw I agree with #18, some people definitely need to calm down.

you should not say someone is overrated, the best it gets, its still bad for you. now you can expect for more flaming, hate and stuff... these things can only change your focus to become a progamer. anyway, GL in your goal, i like people who wants something and dont hesitate to say in public. there are some people who hide and fake it, mostly of the top players...

I really wish people would stop saying Brat_OK... If you're going to mention terrans mention Androide or A2. Saying Brat_OK is just ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, he is a great player.. But only a great player from what we have seen in TSL. I mean he hasn't been on the scene for long at all. Many players have shown that they can excel in one tournament then do like shit in the rest. All the player he listed have been in the broodwar scene for a long period of time and have showed consistent results. Not to mention, that he would know better than any of us nobodies posting on here from what we've seen in replays. Anyways, good luck ClouD. Nice interview.

#19 :" To people arguing about PJ and LX, as far as I've seen they are not half as good as you think. My opinion is that they are hugely overrated, especially PJ. "
-----------------------------------------
U say this only because u beated PJ one time at the group stage in WCG 2007??Or his ICCup stats?? Could it be the reference??? I dont think so:) And i think both PJ and Lx could own U eazy in a BO5 or BO7

#29 I do think Brat_OK diserves to be put among the best foreigners - he just qualified for WCG, which android and advokate couldn't. . .

Best terrans Brat, a2, android, strelok and yosh - can't pick just 3:P

Protoss: Draco, NonY, ClouD
Terran: Yosh, IdrA, Artosis
Zerg: Mondragon, Not4U, DinOt

My list:
Protoss is clearly the forgeiner's best race, its incredibly hard to pick 3,
Draco NonY IefNaij Fenix ClouD MiStrZZZ Dreiven LX PJ White-Ra...... its just retardish to pick 3, and nearly impossible, why? because forgeiner's are even more unstable than koreans are, you pick your 3 today, tomorrow they've changed, because the 4th one played all day, that's how it works, because there's still much to learn and perfect among forgeiners, even koreans are unstable, but at least they last a bit longer on top till 1 counters them, then they can all counter it haha.

Zerg: Mondragon, Castro, DinOt I think that's fairly good, haven't seen Xiaozi active enough lately to judge on his level, and to be honest with you all, I haven't seen enough of Dimaga... but he did just win WCG UK, and that should be taken into consideration, he must be a beast, will he last? iunno 8-)

Terran: you probably need to say IdrA... just because he's in korea and practices all day, he did lose to fenix in spirit tournament pretty badly, and he's a bit cocky and bm and geeky, and im not hating on the us, i love the us, just hating on him some. well anyways.. Idra, Strelok (I think that's an easy one carlo) and the third one is really hard to decide because all the rest seem very unconsistant, don't know how active yosh is at the moment, so I as many others will go with BRAT_OK, and no brat_ok isnt new to the scene, he just wasnt playing the right people often enough, but for quite a while he's been winning his matches and doing really good, couple of years ago when i was leader of iG., the strong iG with KaaZ Arcneon Gurram Cloud Fenix Dreiven Strelok Bruce EX Erling etc... I wanted BRAT_OK to join and that was a while ago, now he just rocked on WCG Russia, and he's most active in a country of Beast terrans like EX and Androide :)

I don't blame carlo i thought his picks came close to reality, and that's his reality anyhow, he unlike most of us, gets to play with all these people, and he just finds harder to beat the ones he mentioned

Protoss: JF/NonY/Draco, there is no question here. JF is a machine with nerves of steel, and relatively young and robot-minded.

Terran: Yosh ; Androide ; Strelok, IdrA is NO LONGER a foreigner. Artosis no longer plays to compete iirc, and skew has dropped out of bw all together.

Zerg: Mondragon ; GOsia ; NotForU, I'm sick and tired of the cheesy-all-in zergs like castro/dinot getting respect, THEY ARE HORRIBLE LUCK USERS.
They RELY on opponents mistakes more often than their own.

Thats my 2cents.
