Mondi sits safe on GSL top spot for 12th playday

Mondragon can enter the twelfth playday with high confidence after having qualified for the World Cyber Games for the 3rd time and sitting with a comfortable lead in the league. However, this will not cause Mondragon to underestimate his opponent, Sarens.

- In general I never underestimate my opponents. Whoever I play, I play totally serious until the last second. That's the first rule and if you don't stick to it, you'll see yourself losing to a bunch of lower skilled opponents, says Mondragon.

When asked if threatened by any player for the top spot, Mondragon mentioned the current second placed - Strelok.

- The toughest match against Strelok is still to come and it will be the decider who finishes first I guess, he says.

But first things first. Tomorrow the GameStar Liga continues after a summer break, and the map for the twelfth playday is Monty Hall, which Mondragon was unaware of.

- Oh my god, that's a shock, he says and smiles wide.

- I didn't know it was Monty Hall - my favorite map of all times he says ironically and says that he calculates a loss on it to come back 2-1.

What is it that you don't like about Monty Hall?

- I don't like 'island' maps or extraordinary maps at all. I just think that those maps support cheesing, and being zerg it makes you the most vulnerable against cheeses. Thus all races are welcome to cheese on those maps and since it works the best vs zerg I dislike those maps, says Mondragon.
