Jaedong Wipes Floor With Flash

The GOMTV Averatec-Intel Classic 2008 Season 1 finished up on Sunday with Jaedong sweeping the series 3:0 against Flash and took home $40,000.

The two top ranked Kespa players went at it with more than just money at stake. The tension was thick as both players were putting their pride on the line in a best of five series in front of thousands of fans.

God of Mutalisks

The two players were first set to do battle on Blue Storm, with Flash deciding to open up with an extremely fast command center to counter Jaedong's twelve hatch build. As they approached the mid game, Jaedong very quickly took control with absolutely sickening mutalisk micro, simultaneously destroying Flash's economy and army. Jaedong opted to keep massing mutaslisks instead of switching to Lurkers, and pummeled Flash into oblivion from the skies, quickly forcing a surrender from the number one ranked Kespa player.

Clean Sweep

Jaedong continued his excellent usage of Mutalisks into game two on Othello, where he once again wore his Terran opponent down with devastating harassment, causing another swift and easy victory for the Zerg player. Game three on Katrina was perhaps the closest game for Flash, managing to defend fairly well and even showing sparks of victory here and there. However, he was unable to keep enough units alive, losing many marines to Jaedong's guardians, and possibly even more Science Vessels to scourge. In what was the longest and perhaps closest game of the series, Jaedong still managed to win with relative ease.

Jaedong - Next number one?

Despite a rather unbelievable loss to forGG in the MSL finals, Jaedong has perhaps gained some redemption from his peers after defeating the monster Flash and taking home a big wad of cash. With champagne in hand, Jaedong celebrated his well-deserved victory in the best of fashions as Tasteless signed off.

I understand what #5 mean

Everyone expected very close games and the rivalry made this even more exiting but Jaedong just dominated Flash so hard. In the three game it was always clear that Jaedong was winning and Flash wasn't looking top shape.

8[ i missed the stream and tried to ignore the news about that to have fun @ VODS (which are indeed broken, thought I'm the only one having that prob).
Well now I know the winner and the score. A more neutral title (cause these big titles can't be not seen at page start-up - sounds wired/wrong but perhaps you know what I'm thinking off) like "Winner of finals..." or "Results online now..." whatever would be way better to avoid spoiling. Stuff like who actually won and the score just in the news itself would be enough I think :/
Don't take this as blaming, just a "random thought"

Stop whining. Dont enter news site if U dont want news. Its obvious that one day after the match there will be news about it here. More annoying thing is that when U enter gomtv.net site first thing U see is that are only 3 vods from the final.

actually there are ways to get to videos and stuff w/o spoilers in gomtv.net sites u just gotta not look and just type 1 number ahead in url after 1st game...

Flash didn't bring his A-game. I think he was nervous. After all, he's just a young kid. When Flash plays at his full potential, i think he will beat Jaedong.

Jaedong is also very good. Impeceble mutaliskmicro. But wouldn't be a 3-0 rape if Flash had played at his usual level.

#17 for how much time you want to avoid getting to know the winner? then.. do not enter news site or DO NOT VISIT GOMTV BY A YEAR OR SO... that way you will not be spoiled LOL

Tasteless asked the vods of the GSL to be kept just on the GOM player so they get maximum hits and maximum revenue. That way they know how much we like it and can keep holding events. That's why the uploaders don't have the vods and wouldn't youtube them if they did.
