Three Koreans and three "world" players have been invited to the fourth season of the Chinese event.
Replays.net announced the player list earlier today, where we see two Sparkyz players and two eStro players getting invited. The only player who is remarkably known by those four is the American player IdrA, currently the only foreign player in one of the 12 Korean progaming teams.
The Chinese players were determined by a long qualifier, where in the end top players as F91, Chinatttt and LeiLei came out on top. Pj and Lx were invited because of their earlier performance in the tournament and did not have to qualify.
More interesting for the European scene, are the two players Dreiven and White-Ra who are also on the player list. Both players are hailing from MeetYourMakers, and both have a good TeamLiquid StarLeague season behind them.
The tournament will begin on June 4th in Beijing, China while both quarter-finals and overall finals will take place between June 12th and 14th in Changsha, China.
The groups have not been announced yet, but tough competition to expect for the world players, as the Chinese players have proved to be of hard steel in earlier tournaments.

Since when is Lx considered a foreigner? It says Lx, white-ra, dreiven, and IdrA, 3 koreans, and 10 chinese... Lx is chinese.. Why is he being listed as a "foreigner"?
bet idra ownz u will see
Why no Mondi, Draco (why didn't they pay?), JF, Nony, Strelok, A2, Androide or BRAT_OK? And why so many toss?! Boring tournament.
sorry but i think idra will lose all games, but i hope he wont ;/
well, here is what I konw, fosken is not invitated for last PGL.but he wants to come to China and play. therefore his flight is not 100% covered by PLG. he needs to pay part of it. his leader, aka wicked' cyru should return 3000 rmb to pgl(PGL paid for the flight in advance). and what draco earn is 2400 rmb. pgl ask cyru to give the money to draco and cyru agrees to do so, but it seems he only gives a little money to draco. i believe draco, he knows this himself, dont know why he still complaines about this. because at that time they all agree to do that. PGL gives big amount money, 100euro is not a big deal. why would they pay everyone but draco???
i think they tried to invite best foreigners, but all of them probably declined so now there are those who didnt...and white-ra has the best chance of foreigners to win some games...idra and dreiven just arent good enough...
well .... go Idra i would say..
#55 1) Please do not spread fake info. First of all, this is not my debt. This is Fosken's debt and he repays it constantly (approx. 3/4 is already paid). 2) As far as I know Draco does not fly to China because he retired (he does not practice at all - university, relationship etc.). 3) I paid for a Fosken's ticket to China. It was 4 883,44 PLN. Few days later I was refunded by PGL. However, I had to pay for the money transfer, so I lost around 200 PLN / 300 PLN.
invite to castro o,O
3) I paid for a Fosken's ticket to China. It was 4 883,44 PLN. Few days later I was refunded by PGL. However, I had to pay for the money transfer, so I lost around 200 PLN / 300 PLN. you paid for fosken;s ticket, and pgl paid to you. it seems u represent for fosken,,, rite? what PGL organizer told me is you agree to pay draco's earnings, bacause you or fosken owes PGL I dont know you, Im not trying to blame you, but at that time, you are the leader or representive of fosken. PGL,Draco and you are decided together that you or fosken(i dont know) will pay draco. recently, someone(I dont know if that's draco) says PGL owes Draco 100eru. well, that's just not ture... this has nothing to do with PGL already. The fake info are damaging the image of PGL among foreigns.
Gl Ra, Dreiven and Idra. But why not Mondi, Draco, Brat, Nony, Iefnaij and so many others?? And 2 players of MYM Is because MYM some knowledge in PGL? (I dont want flame nobody but is strange for me) Dont get mad :D
china doesn't like to gamble with winning even if it's just a game because it's linked directly to the nationalism, and if you read about communism, the most important aspect of keeping control over people is to provide distraction with sporting events and keep them happy with wins. Why do you think Soviet Union used to be the number in almost every Olympics. And China wants to win all these events so they don't want to invite players with high potential. Just look at the Korean players in that tournament, I've never heard of any of them. There is no incentive for people to put up with strict rules and regulations along with inhumane treatment unless the government can prove to the people that they can outperform other democratic nations. it's a feeble attempt as shown by other communist nations.
62 dude, its starcraft. I believe PGL invite other good foreign players too, i think they do not wanna come for their own reasons. for the koreans, its not PGL paticularly invite someone, but contact the korean teams. and the team decide who will be sent to PGL. to keep the skill level or maybe the prize pool is not attractive enough, big names koreans are not coming. if you really wanna pick China's problem, take a look of ur own country. Corruption in korean goverment and cooperations. the ceo of samsung just arrested 2 months ago because some corruption, he put like 100M dollar in him own pocket.. not mention much more corruption in goverment. so keep starcraft starcraft.
#60 I do not represent Fosken, I just wanted to help him. However, you are right. Fosken has to pay, not PGL. And by the way, PGL is great. I am really glad that they do so much for the community.
#62 Bullshit more, bash politics more, dumbass. For a fact, Julyzerg, Anytime, Casy were previously invited to play in such events, but since they all had busy schedule they all refused. Secondly, yellow, reach, ra, nada, boxer......were all invited to China before in various kinds of events. Thirdly, this time China had to make sure they dont invite korean cheaters to use bug in order to win games like in IEST. Lastly, talk about secure win with BM, koreans were more famous in World Cup isn't it? And the same goes woman as well. http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=9zN2zmYc6CU
IdrA FTW!
Your headlines are techniquily wrong, IdrA, White-ra and Drevian were the invited foreigners, Lx is there by seed from last year.
#60 it was indeed Draco who made that claim.
68 well... then im very disappointed, there are a lot of funs from china for draco. when this thing first come to chinese starcraft community, ppl all trust what draco says... all blame on PGL. he must know who owes him money. if he said that because he did not do on on last PGL, that;s not professional.
65 rocks
Go Non Chinese!
Draco Strelok Mondi ???
but gogog non china/korean
On such mappool terrans can't survive. Sorry but true.
Anyone else think its funny that china gives themselves ten players and only 6 foreigners? kinda stacking the odds. i mean i know its a chinese tourny but what does it prove if someone from china wins with so many more players?
Dreiven for fuck sake! Pwn
I'm not sure China is trying to prove anything. They may just want to host a fun tournament? Jesus Christ.
Legendary fighting!
Wait, i remember once china invited hwasin and calm from STX, was that pgL?
#62 people of anyother contries could say that except u korean, if u still remember what happened in 2002 at the football worldcup. That was really a BIG SCANDAL.
#79 I think that was IEST not PGL
About Draco... its not Dracos bissnes what PGL - Fosken agidment was... PGL is organizing the avent and they should pay... Draco is right...
they didnt paid Draco because they said they already did it by paying his living there o.o
Stop spreading fake info, please.
#82,83 shame of you..
Guys relax! I can tell you that PGL tried to invite other players before. Some have been mentioned here. Some of the players they wanted to invite, refused to come, some didn't have time and some had visa issues. I think we should be all happy that a Chinese StarCraft event with so much price money is there that also is interested to invite players from Europe. And I think White-Ra and Dreiven are pretty good choices and it is a chance to proof themselves. Just respect the decision and let's try to make the best out of it. Better those players then no players and no PGL at all... we really should be happy that someone is interested to invest so much money in StarCraft - still... and to fly in players from all over the world.
it's a chinese company sponsored event, they have to focus on the china market, the only reason why inviting these foreigners is to make the game more competitive. a chinese beat all the foreigners and win the champion is the best result
somebody's word really made me laugh,especially #62. keep on your mind-masturbation~ :D
#62 dont try to flame with chinese, they'll mass you.
