GosuGamers and Blizzard hosting StarCraft casual tournament in Paris

Got what it takes to win the StarCraft 2on2 fun-tournament at the Worldwide Invitational in Paris? Prove it, by playing the qualifier and be the Top 16 team to play in the Finals of the community tournaments at the Worldwide Invitational in Paris.

GosuGamers comes together with Blizzard Entertainment and happily announces the StarCraft Community Tournament! Blizzard's Worldwide Invitational stands as the battleground where the 16 best teams coming out of a qualifier to be held May 24th get to play the upcoming blockbuster to achieve fame and a replica of the Frostmourne sword.

Sadly we do not have the capacity to run a full-scale tournament with every attendee on-site, so a qualifier in StarCraft: Brood War will be held to determine the best 16 teams, hosted by us, GosuGamers. In order to participate, you will need a ticket to the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational 2008 in Paris, and of course a copy of StarCraft: Brood War.

» Enter the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational site to sign up, which will be open until May 13th. After signing up you will be confirmed if you have purchased a ticket for WWI, and then an email will be sent out with further information. The best 16 teams coming out of the qualifier will be chosen to participate in the StarCraft Community tournament at the 2008 Blizzard Worldwide Invitational in Paris. The teams 17 to 32 will be put on a back-up list to fill in, in case one of the best 16 teams does not confirm their attendance in Paris.

To start off, sign up at the Blizzard website. Further information on maps, ruleset and times will be announced soon, here on GosuGamers.

    Hello,

I will be in Paris and I'm looking for a team partner for this event :) If you are interested to team me up on a Quest for Frostmourne Sword, please PM me with the answers:

    1. What is your experience in 1v1 / 2v2 in Starcraft / Warcraft 3? (also what race are you playing)
    2. What is your knowledge about Starcraft 2?
    3. Do you have ticket for Blizzard WWI?
    4. What are you going to do with new, shiny Frostmourne Sword if we win? ^^

If you don't have a ticket, there is a chance I will have one ticket to sell for you.

    Cheers,
