ICCUP Division A, The Rising Tide!

[s]starcraft[/s]

ICCUP's A Division has finished, and the Spanish team Los Reyes del Mambo has secured another title in a CLOSE battle to the finish!

For those who don't know, ICCUP, the big new ladder, also has created its own Clan League. A system very similar to the WGTCL, ICCUP differs in one respect. It's A Division winners were promised a prize pool of $1000, making it potentially one of the most lucrative leagues, rivaling FragBet League and the BWCL Premier League.

With all the cash up for grabs this season, there were many fierce battles, but surprisingly, many teams forfeitting lots of matches too... which is a shame to see!! But for three lucky teams, who were motivated and driven, the payoff will be quite great!!

Division A Summary

Final Standings
1. Spain LRM7-235
2. Germany ToT7-235
3. Portugal xLo7-234
4. Germany DkH6-330
5. Russia aFz3-519
6. France MgZ4-519
7. Netherlands iG.3-614
8. Russia fAke4-414
9. Denmark MYM3-612
10. United States Media1-85

LRM danced their way up to the top of yet another top clan league, while the German menace ToT matched them step for step, losing the tiebreaker, and ending 2nd place. Bartar's boys at xLo finished 1 point behind both teams, and grabbed the 3rd spot. Although DkH edged them out in BWCL, the case was not the same for ICCUP Division A, and they ended 4th with 30 points. aFz and MgZ had some disappointing results, but can try their luck again next season.

Unfortunately for Media, fAke, iG, and shockingly, MYM... they will be demoted to Division B next season. Many would have thought a team such as MYM would have been vying for a top spot, and yet they finished with just 12 points.

LRM has grabbed another title and is sitting atop their throne, dancing the night away. ToT took the silver, losing the tiebreak to LRM, while Excello got the bronze, 1 point behind the Templars. What an exciting season for starters!! ICCUP will have a tough time living up to this season, with how close this race was, I'm excited to see what's in store for us next season!

Congragulations LRM!
