WCG Korea - Finals Results

Last time, we left off the Korean WCG at the round of 8 - the quarterfinals. The results poured in with some upsets for the favored ones.

With only 4 players left, they battled it out to reach the finals. The top three would be guaranteed a spot to goto the WCG Grand Finals in Seattle.
The two semi-finals turned out as:

Hwasin vs

sAviOr - where Hwasin layed confidence in his Terran vs Zerg and took out the mighty Zerg 2:1, and

Stork vs

Free, not surprisingly Stork took both matches.

It was down to

Stork, but either way - these two have already confirmed their trip to Seattle for the shot at the first prize of $20,000 USD (Not clearly announced by WCG yet). Only moments later, Hwasin had taken 1st place at WCG Korea 2007 over Stork on

Tau Cross,

Python, and

Sin Peaks of Baekdu; 2:1.

On the other side of the battlefield - sAviOr was to face Free (Yun Yong-Tae) for the third place title, the chance to goto Seattle with the other top 2 placers. Needless to say, sAviOr did his job and crossed over to third, 2:0 over Free.
