WCG Russia Final Day

Posted by Sergei "S.Shneider[S2]" S 5 years ago
With less then two minutes to go, and 5:30 AM in my hemisphere I bring you the latest, from World Cyber Games Russia. Its the final day, and altough the members of Team Russia has already been determined, there are still some games left to play. For money. For big money. Three thousand dollars to be exact

1st Androide3000 $
2nd Ex 1500 $
3rd Notforu 1000$

Androide 0:2 Ex
Androide 2:1 Ex
Ex2:0 Notforu

Since he came from the loser bracket, Russia Ex had to win 2 bo3 series to win the final. But Russia Androide made it. Congratulations to him.

Ukraine Hireling[S2], went to Korea in 2002 as a part of Ukraine SC:BW team.

I think Ex will manage to defeat Notforu, but will fall short of beating Androide. As to how they will do in Italy, i think all should be able to make it into playoffs, and someone will finish top 5 99%. However I haven't seen Androide play in a while, so I can only believe

Hungary 96)Gorky, the one who always wins WCG Hungary

I think androide will win the russian wcg because he is a very good terran player ( best non-korean terran player imho) and he is very strong in tvz matchup i think. I guess the Russian team has a big chance to perform a good position in the next WCG( like androide good performance at Singapore last year), of course the koreans will win the Italian tournament, no doubt about that...

Sweden DkH.Kaaz, Sweden's Zerg pride.

I think Ex will manage to get his revenge on NotForU so the final will be between Ex and Androide. I'm really impressed by Ex's TvT so Ex will win. I don't know much about NotForU so I can't really say how he will do [in Italy], but both Ex and Androide are really good. If they can stay out of the koreans way they can surely manage to get amongst the top 4.

Germany ToT)Mondragon(, a guy who doesn't need an introduction.

Androide will take it home easily ^_^ Ex will defeat Notforu. [And I think] Androide has a fair shot to be top 3 at the Grand Final in Italy again. [If Androide meets me in real life] I'd shake his hand and say hello. And in the brackets we will have a tough fight and then we will see who comes out as the winner. But since it is TvZ he will have a clear advantage and due to his previous achievements he is the clear favorite against me. [Talking about ECG 2005] But sometimes even I'm lucky. He's definitely the better BW player, no discussion about that ^_^ besides I can't even say who wins in Italy if we meet since I am not even qualified for the Grand final... maybe I wont qualify?

United States ToT)inControl(, the one who just lets it go

I think whichever Russians go, it will be strong. Androide obviously is one of the top non koreans. Ex / Androide do well i think, however I think Notforu's ZvZ is not too strong, but he might be able to win some zvt zvp

Androide doesnt want to show new tactics. This is elementary why he lost 0:2 ;[

---------------------------------
it could be nice BlizzCon:

Androide, Mondragon, Draco, Sen
vs
Korean pro ;[
#13 hN)narik 5 years ago
Androide just forfeited this. He and EX are friends and train togher so it was like midas vs iloveoov like somebody already mentioned.
#14 3D.Overmind 5 years ago
NONO!! EX is not top 1 yet.

He came from losers brackets so he needs to win 2 bo3 matches. He won only 1 match.

So... battle EX vs Androide continues :)

Androide is back, and that is only a good thing. I hope his TvT strats and that will shine through in wcg though, the 0:2 vs ex is surprising.
#29 Musli 5 years ago
nope.
They play together on lan and know good eachother.
Btw mirrors are often very unpredictable. And Ex TvT is very strong too, just like rest of Russian terrans ;]
#30 kashu 5 years ago

those are a huge amount in prizes, 1st 3000 $ and even 4th 600 $, how much is 3rd spot in wcg finals 5000 $ ??

Anyway 47 players took part, i would also see that many in other countries that also have 3 spots...
