Multigaming organization Curse make their first steps into the Dota 2 scene as they announce the beginning of their own Dota 2 Invitational. Within three weeks, $10,000 will be played out amongst eight teams.
Fans have ached after months of bigger tournaments and Curse now steps in with their first Dota 2 tournament. The three-week long double-elimination tournament holds a prize pool of $10,000 and will feature eight selected teams.
The tournament will start on the 4th May and will be played out on the three following weekends. All games are best-of-three, except for the Grand Finals, which will be best-of-five. The date of the Grand Finals however coincides with the finals of the Western TI3 Qualifiers and Curse is looking to rearrange with Valve/TheGDStudio.
The list of invited teams has yet to be released, but top Western teams are to be expected. Each playday is scheduled to start at 18:00 CET. Coverage will be provided by North-American commentator Aaron 'Ayesee' Chambers.
Schedule:
May 4th-5th: WB Round 1&2
May 11th-12th: LB Round 1&2&3 + WB Round 3
