Hi Ilvy! First of all plz introduce yourself to the community (name, age (you may leave that one out ;)), location).

As far as I know your whole family is addicted to BW and games in general. Could you plz tell us how an ordinary day for your family is?
- Haha, well I guess it's similar to normal families: Getting up in the morning, breakfast, school/work, doing homework with the kids, be with my kids when they play soccer / have tournaments etc., but on days with bad weather it could be that the whole family sits in the livingroom and plays games and for me there is always something to orga ;)
You have been an important person in our community for a long time now. How did you first get in touch with WGTour, ToT or pG and the top players in general?
- Hm, with pG I got in touch via b-net with the real oldies long, long time ago, like the time where Janis, Fanatic, Benga and that guys still played. I joined ToT a lot later, pretty much because of Dissy (*Mondragon) and because Gus (*SuKeR) changed to ToT. WGT was right after reopening when Eki and Onurb needed more admins and I got asked if I wanted to help out
You are currently working on Team Liquid Tour #2, what is your job there and how was it for you so far?
“ Today the last games will be played without any problems, hopefully. I don't want to sound mean but I am happy when its done, it took a lot of time and energy.” |
Did you have any players you were sure they'd place good before?
- Of course you always hope, that ppl you like a lot reach the finals. Some did, some didn't, but I was cheering for Testie, Mondragon and Legionnaire, even if he had to play like hell at the end, same for assem and there are a lot, I could name endless now :P
Sad that Nazgul didn't play in final or Eri, but it was great to see Daaman in.
Were you surprised by the great performance of yan and 88)controL?
- Hm, well in the beginning I didn't know who was behind Yan_ukr, since out of the logfile I was not sure, but Advokate is no unknown player and did very well in WCG, the maps do also favor terran so that was good for him, but yea Control surprised me.
On tl.net there's a new argue about who yan really is. He's meant to be Advokate, but new rumours say it's Androide. Can you confirm anything?
- I have him in my icq as advokate and if androide doesn't live close to him or got his icq to talk to me, I would say it's Advokate. But I never had a good contact to them before, since I am not much into the new russian community so I am not able to prove it 100%.
On the one hand it was exciting to find out who the smurfs were, on the other hand the community wants to cheer for their known top-players, which was declined by smurfing. In your opinion, should smurfs be allowed in a possible TLTour #3?

Strong Zergs such as ToT)Mondragon( or iD.ret were considered favourites before. What do you think: Was it the maps that made them fail or were they simply not good enough this time?
- Yes they where set as favorites I know, but unfortunatly they lost earlier as expected. Sure the maps helped their oponents a lot, but control is zerg too with no perfect stats during the ladder, but he managed to get far in the tournament. So it's maps, matchups and how you feel that day that makes you good or not and luck of course. And for me it's not a failure to lose, even if it's kind of sad.
SW)Lois and SoL.Selector got caught hacking in the TLT Ladder by SuperPenguin now. Do you feel like BWScanner should have been mandatory in the Ladder as well?

Do you have any favourite for the Grand Final today? Most of our Gosubetters think Assem will take the 1000$.
- I think ppl are right with Assem. He is a very constant player with more experience and if he is not very tired he will stay cool every time. He will have Leg on his side to cheer him up, I guess, but for sure it will be close and long games. TvT is timeconsuming usually.
You have not been in Korea or on WCG so far. I guess with your contacts you could easily get there, aren't you interested to go?
- I had the chance to go to WCG 2 times, but never went. 2003 the reason was a fucked up orga and last year I had a private reason. Was really sad about that, since a lot of ppl I like have been in SF and especially, that I wasn't able to see Choblar was so sad :(
Korea would be fun, but only to visit ppl.
We know you have talent in organising events, but do you find time to still play BW?
- I didn't play much BW in the last time and for sure I suck hard now, but I still like that game a lot.
After TLT2 is finished, what will be your future projects? Anything planned already?
- No I dont have any projects for the moment. For privat reasons I will go mostly inactive, even on WGT, but I will for sure stay arround and help in smaller things, but I am not able to do a job that would take time every day constantly. I will see how things go the next few month since I also want to find some time to play a bit again and since not everything is perfect at the moment I don't know if I want to take it up again.
