TLT2: The end is near

[s]event_tlt2[/s]

Feel like you missed something? You wonder why and how your favourite player got knocked out of TLT2? Here's a little wrap-up of what happened today.

b80bc75806a8ad69323658ba7fff717e8ffc449b174205cf8c95d820812Germany FiSheYe started very good in the tournament. After beating the favourised Poland Draco[pG] it was obvious that you could count on him. He further pointed out how strong he was by beating Sweden Daaman in an intense 2:1-Series. Although his performance so far was very impressive, Poland SunCow(GN) ended Freddie's Killing Spree, which made him go to the Loserbracket. There he faced Netherlands ret who was considered a possible winner of this TLT, but FiSheYe won this bo1 and secured himself at least 50$.

49d29e0cbe2975830524da82c3165bb65f18edb2dfe8ecbca0971c39d0But then Canada Testie was waiting.
The random player said himself, that he didn't practice for the event, but still Testie has been one of the best foreign players in a while now, so it was clear that he would play a role in the run for the money.
Both played a great game, too bad it was best-of-1, but Testie for sure deserved the win. After that, another great player was waiting: The australian pro-gamer Australia Peter "Legionnaire" Neate.
This game was played best-of-3 and it was a pretty good, straight 2:0 with Testie as the winner.

The next opponent awaiting was a rather unknown one - United States Geoff "controL" Robinson has, for sure, now made himself a name with his performance in this tourney. He got knocked out of the Winnerbracket quite early by another surprise in the tourney: Poland SunCow. But, controL definitely showded us what a comeback is: Bulgaria 3wD.LameR, Ukraine SW)55 and Norway StinGeR were on his way in the LB and he's beaten them all until he finally met Poland SunCow again and this time he had the upper hand - a 2:1 was the result.
Every series has an ending tho, meaning Canada Testie was the one that finally made it an end and beat controL 2:0

Testie fighting in Loser Bracket - pushed down by Assem

Canada Testie this way made it to the Loserbracket-Final to meet United States Assem, another eNature-member. 49d29e0cbe2975830524da82c3165bb65f18edb2dfe8ecbca0971c39d06 United States Assem somehow managed to hide himself from the foreign scene. That means he's no active poster at any community-page, nor does he like to give interviews. But still, since he's in Korea, you could know that he might have a decent shot at the money. Canada Testie and United States Assem met in Winnerbracket Round 2 already when Assem won 2:0 and sent Testie into the Loserbracket. However, who expected Assem to beat Testie that easily in the Loserbracket-Final again, was plain wrong. This time Canada Testie put some more skill into the game and as a result the games were very close so far: A 2:2 is the latest result for today. Canada Testie and United States Assem decided on postponing the last game of this intense LB-final to tomorrow.

Advokate[S2] in the grand final - Testie/Assem his opponent

That means the winner of this game will tomorrow face Russia Advokate[S2]. Before the final tournament started, it was uncertain if Ukraine SW)55 and/or Ukraine yan_ukr, who later turned out to be Advokate, were allowed to play, because they were meant to be the same person. Later yan_ukr turned out to be a smurf and both were allowed to play. a2kat/a2[S2] made himself an international name when he did an awesome performance at World Cyber Games: San Francisco when he even knocked Germany ToT)Mondragon( out of the tournament. In this event he has yet to lose a best-of. So far he has beaten top players, such as Norway StinGeR, Brazil HellGhost and United States Assem. After Day 1 of TLT we decided that Assem was the winner of the day, because only people closely related to a2 thought he could beat the american pro-gamer. He proved us wrong and did a great job beating Assem 3:2, securing himself a place in the Grand Final and at least 650$ price money.

Tomorrow will be the day when Canada Testie / United States Assem and Russia Advokate will play for honor and 1000$ cash.
A great event is coming to an end, let us hope » teamliquid won't let us wait so long again until the next tour starts.
