Testie wins the BETA tournament.

Our first tournament with the new script has been successfully completed. The winner was Testie who ran over Poland A team member vA)Predator.

The tournament went well, and we were able to iron out a few bugs. We had 81 people for the tournament in total and we want to thank all the participants. We look forward to more tournaments in the near future hosted by GosuGamers.net

Interview with Testie, winner of the tournament.

BlaznJason: How did you like the tournament?
Testie: Oh, it was nice. GG.net did a great job of organizing and pulling through. Can't say the same for the participants, more than half didn't show.
BlaznJason: What was your favorite game from this tournament?
Testie: Hmmm, well.. I think I didn't get any hard games other than the ZvZ on paranoid, which was a good game. That was probably my favorite, because I was actually an underdog at one point, then the overdog, then the underdog again.
BlaznJason: Do you think the way you played that game (no mutalisks) is a viable strategy?
Testie: It's quite viable, but I made a few mistakes and solid play by my opponent and good muta control didn't let me take full advantage of ling / scourge.
BlaznJason: What do you think of the new WCG maps?
Testie: I haven't really tested them enough, though they really should fix Gaia's 1:00 minerals and gas. That's kinda imbalanced. ;-)
BlaznJason: What do you think about the finals of TLT?
Testie: I think they are going to be tought, especially since I'm not practicing for my matches. I'm just helping my friends pracitice for their matches, in matchups I don't need. It kinda sucks I'm getting the short end of the straw. But I really don't care about TLT.
BlaznJason: Since you mention it, what matchups are the ones you think you need to work on?
Testie: That's noone's buiness, plus it depends on what map.
BlaznJason: Why do you say you don't care about TLT? Is your entry paid for you? If so, by who?
Testie: Eh? No, it's paid. But right now im in a very apathetic mood towards BW. Perhaps it's all the extra hate i've gathered. But I really don't care if I win or lose and would even 5 pool if I were stupid enough.
Testie: I just hope for a Testie vs Mondragon final. That would be cool again. But that seems unlikely after one of us hits the losers brackets since it's BO1.
BlaznJason: So your favorite to win TLT is Mondragon?
Testie: Hmm, well.. recently I just beat him a lot. So no. But when he was practicing for MMI he beat me a lot.. so.. I'd say me and him are simply the uppertier players, then there are a plethora of strong players that are close like ret / fisheye, etc...
BlaznJason: Ahh, so you acknowledge Ret, some were upset you missed the finals of TANL vs him recently. Anything to say about that?
Testie: Well, do you expect me to say someone else? Whenever I play these people I beat them much more often. And have for years. I said my apologies. I said we could play tomorrow. I also said I'd understand if they wouldn't let me finish.
Testie: The IRC conversations with Oxy about Ret being a newbie and not wanting to play him anyway was a joke. ;p
BlaznJason: What is your response to those who are upset that you skipped out on the tournament for which the organizer (oxy) paid your entry?
Testie: I thought it was funny at the time. :P I told Veg to nuke me in the finals, and he ended up nuking ret.
Testie: Ehhh, I told him, and them, that I'd be able to play the next day. If they cared. And to just give me the 50$. I played the tournament and still earned 2nd place, no? Yet I was given no $ because I ruined the finals? Pfft. I gave them a great series vs ret in the WB finals. That's enough.
BlaznJason: So you are showing that you have little care for the community, or Oxy, or their tournament or what? What are you saying?
Testie: I have great respect for Oxy. He ran TANL perfectly. Even constant reminders on MSN, which is going out of the way for us. I have respect for ret as a player. I acknowledge him as one of the top dogs. He's great. (Though I smack talked him all in the finals).
Testie: That was all in good fun to me. Then once he beat me my ego got damaged so I had to say "wtf i've beaten u more often, im the favorite" then I realized that was stupid.
Testie: I should have just said good game. But hey, I do a lot of stupid things. Shrug, above all else. I'm just a person who makes mistakes. And if it makes them feel any better, I lost $100 when I went and played Poker with my boss.
