WCG Korea: One week down

As the days countdown to September 30th at the Los Angeles Convention Center, 28 of the best players in the world have started to battle for three spots to take on the world.

With the first week of WCG Korea's Starcraft qualifiers now complete, there was a few surprises along the way. A cheering young zerg amateur who was all smiles going up against the reigning Korean Air OnGameNet StarLeague champion. Ever)Z(Woon shocked a lot of gamers when he went 1-0 against Effort, but was unable to follow up although he always had a smirk on his face knowing he took a game from a champion.

Eight players have already advanced to the round of 16, with four more starting Monday vying for their chance to prove their prowess.

You also can't forget that Jaedong, Bisu, Stork and Flash have already advanced into the round of 16. The reason for that being, the first three were the WCG Korea winners of last year and Flash having the 4th spot on KESPA rating. The finals for Korea WCG's are on August 22nd so make sure to mark your calendar because YOU could be playing one of these stars.
