Beta Update: Large Beta Key Giveaway and Beta Reset Announced

A blue post on the Battle.net forums states that a full reset of the beta database will be happening in the near future. Blizzard has also announced that Thursday April 15th 2010 has been dubbed a "key storm" as a storm of beta keys is expected to be given out via their StarCraft beta group on Facebook.

A recent blue post announced Blizzard's intention to reset the beta database which would wipe the following information from beta accounts:

An interesting note is that April 17th 2010 will mark the 2 month anniversary of the StarCraft II Beta. The exact date of the reset was not been specified.

Blizzard has also been giving away beta keys on their StarCraft Facebook group. The past week has seen dozens of beta keys being given out in text and image form. On April 15th 2010 starting at 10AM PDT (18:00 CET) Blizzard will have a massive giveaway that will cause 'TERRIBLE DAMAGE'. Previous key giveaways have lasted roughly 10 hours where in that time span new keys are given away,in bulk, every two to three hours. For all those who are interested, be prepared to type fast as many of the keys are claimed within the first seconds of the keys revealing. An example image of what to expect can be found below.
