ESL Major Series announces sixth season

ESL has announced their sixth season of their popular ESL Major Series. The prize pool will remain at 750 Euros, like last season.

Greg "IdrA" Fields grabbed the first prize of 450 Euros last season. Eugin "Strelok" Oparyshev, who lost to the American progamer in the final, ended in second place to win 200 Euro.

Martin "kogeT" Nowak, who surprisingly outplayed Oleksii "White-Ra" Krupnyk by 3-1 in the third place match, won 100 Euros.

Should the tournament follow the same pattern as last season, the four mentioned players will have an autoberth in the group stage.

Details on how to qualify for the league is said to be released next week.

i will not be seeded into the next season seeing as esl hasnt paid me my prize money for either of the last 2 seasons. i wont be playing any esl events until they do.

All EMS4 money was paid out in the last couple of days along with several other tournaments, all in all we have paid out more in the last 2 months than most leagues do in years (outside of Korea I guess anyway)

EMS5 which finished during this month is aimed to be paid in the next few months

We know that these kind of times are not what SC players are used to but unfortunately with all the eco-drama it is taking a lot longer for everyone to everyone to get paid, but things are getting better already this year!
