A Korean Idol becomes a Progamer?

As we saw earlier in Ret's third and final courage video, he played against a member of Korean boy band group SS501 in the first round named Kim Hyung Joon, knocking him out pretty easily.

Here's the first episode documenting Kim Hyung Joon's attempts at becoming a progamer for MBC Game HERO. Its rather interesting and funny at the same time.

Maybe with his mastery of the Korean language, some proper training by the pro's, and a lot of luck he could take the next courage tournament.

Come on you guys, Infernal is completely right... except for the fact that I say ridiculous things all the time and my comments go unnoticed.. but SERIOUSLY, although this is HILARIOUS, this guy does not deserve ANY ATTENTION because he is SOOOOOOOO BAD AT STARCRAFT. He is ONLY getting attention because he is some stupid korean n-sync. His show title & news title acts like he is actually going to become a pro gamer... This guy would have to quit his pop star act and train for YEARS AND YEARS to even come close to the level of some newb like infernal ;) Imagine how disgusting it would be if this guy got a pro license and Ret went home with nothing..

OK, after watching the video... this is hilarious! I definitely feel for Jaehoon though - I would leave upset too. It's absolutely ludicrous to even suggest that he would take a real pro gamers seat in the practice spot... Did you see how sad that guy looked when he was like "Where will I sit then?" ...

So funny how his bribing Shark worked 100%, I don't blame him... those Korean girls were super cute even though they look 15. Can't wait to lol @ next episode & see what Koreans have to say about him failing vs. Ret in courage!

#53 infernal ain't right at all, because he doesn't understand the concept of NEWS or clearly doesn't understand how the world and humanity works..
I agree if this was a page where they would only talk about progaming in starcraft, then this news should hardly even make it on forums, but as far as I see gg.net is far from that and I'm happy that's the case (otherwise I'm pretty sure we'd see page dying out or hardly anyone would even know about it)
I speak here for myself, but most likely some other people will find themselves in those next sentences: I'm far from being a good gamer, but I still love the game and it makes me really happy when I see game evolving in our world. therefor news like this one made me really happy, even tho some noob pop singer is being silly with his ideas of becoming progamer
it just shows how far this game goes, how great it really is.. even god damn pop singers are playing it!

now to infernal: I feel you man, you are prolly playing your ass off every day to be as good as you are... and ofc it seems unfair that some nubblet like that korean singer is making front page news everywhere...
but dude, just look off your screen for a bit and you'll see that news like that are all around you and ofc they will make it to pages like gg.net also, world and people are changing..
we really aren't living in 80s anymore.. sorry..

I agree with infernal. this site is about the art of starcraft, not about something ridiculously bad as this guy there. if i visit a site about algorithms, i want to see algorithms, not some ppl pretending to do the algorithmics. and the same is here. i visit a starcraft site - not a starcraft circus.

The only person I agree with is marwin.

and honestly I believe the main reason this is shown is just because artosis and ret ran into him. Otherwise, I think this would have been just as important as the stargirls thing which wasn't really that important..

I said that nobody cares about a Korean who has absolutely no talent at this game and that its ridicolous that this is even worth a news.
Also I said that this topic already sucked at TL.net where my complaints against guys watching a guy who's B A D didn't simply get censored.
Gotta love GG.net, if you do not agree with something, they'll just make you agree or delete whatever you said.
Main reason why I prefer to post at TL.net and actually only visit this page.
