I’ve been busy like hell these days, that means there’s hardly time for StarCraft in particular. Today, after having my work finished for game.vzone.vn, I started to surf Teamliquid.net – one of the most powerful StarCraft fansite among the community. I found some new pictures about my favourite progamer – Bisu[Shield]. I found many topics that I had never ever read before. And…suddenly, I felt so lost and empty. I have been “temporarily quitting” following Korean professional StarCraft scenes. Now, if you asked me about the current process of Starleague or Proleague, I’d feel to be killed immediately. Being lost in my emotions, I wonder if my love for StarCraft has finally come to an end. Honestly, I think that at the moment I’m paying all of my attention to CS. My friends are mostly Counter Strike players and I chat with them on MSN everyday. We share our thoughts, our stories and it brings me some good memories back. It reminds me of my childhood when my soul was completely “stolen” by something in Counter Strike matches with my friends, my classmates. Aww….tell me what happened to me, won’t you? I’m stuck!!!

Hello everyone! Your little Junnie is back to her corner. It has been a long time I last saw you. I miss you guys so sooooo much. Well, today, when surfing some SC websites, I read an interesting topic! The thread maker wanted to know why his readers were so deep in love with StarCraft and then, he left that question in his topic. What a great idea! Long time ago, I wanted to asked you guys the same question, too. But I think I forgot it. As I’m sure we all know that everyone has his own story about his gaming life and I’m really curious to know all of yours. I think it will be a great chance for us to know each other better so don’t be shy, just express yourself here and share us your experience. Ok. I’m the first one. Hmm.. I started playing games when I was a small girl, maybe 5 or 6. During my childhood, I kept playing PS1 all the time at the PS1 station near by my house. The first time I saw StarCraft, it was still as clear as yesterday. The boy of the PS1 Station’s owner, he had few PCs in the corner of his house to let him and his friends be able to play Quake and StarCraft. As usual, after spending all of my money for PS1 Games, I stood there and watched them playing. I remember that I felt so excited when I saw them playing some games on PC at that time, and especially StarCraft. It was really interesting. How could they “have” their unit with the keyboard? At that time, for me, the keyboard was such a wonderful thing on earth. One day, when he was not at home, I begged his mother to let me play and she agreed. I think I will never forget that day when I was stuck at the menu of StarCraft. “How could he play such a boring game like that? Aww, it sucks. What a complicated game. I would better back to my fighting games, I think so” – something crossed my mind. I quickly left the game and never touched PC later. Everything changed when I first came to PC Station where I used to hate because it was always noisy. My first game on PC, however, it was not StarCraft but Counter Strike. Some special feelings when I “headshot-ed” somebody were incredible. I had never got that feelings so far and then, I started loving PC games. They were much more interesting than PS1: more competitive, more players and more friends. Having played CS days after days, with tempting invitation of friends, I tried StarCraft once again. They showed me how to play and then, I won my first game against my opponent “who” was computer. The feeling when you win something was always good so I started playing not only CS but also SC. Time passed by, I did not know when Games became a part of my life. I am a competitive girl meanwhile Games or eSports is always full of competitions so it is simple to know why I am here today. It has been a long time since my first StarCraft games and now, I’m really glad that I’m still here talking to you about myself, my little story. Do you know the biggest reason why made me decide to stay in SC scene? Nal_rA is my hero. The one who showed me where I belong is great one. Now, I think, without that highlight, I would not be sitting here. Although it was poor quality, it had great power to whisper me: “Hey girl, welcome to my world!”. I had never ever got that feeling. It was not special but indescribable. Headshot? Winning my SC matches? Those feelings made non sense to me in comparison with Nal_rA’s highlight. My head was full of Nal_rA’s images afterward. Now, I still do not know how to express it even it has passed for 4 years I have a dream, a song to sing To help me cope with anything! Yes, I have a dream. I have ONE BIG DREAM ! I want to help eSports to develop bigger and bigger everywhere on this planet, not only in SC: BW but also in the other eSports Games such as Counter Strike, PES, Fifa, etc… I want to see people can value the exact meaning of eSports in our daily life. eSport is not just a game but a gift from heaven. It is a huge business where people can challenge their mind, their hands, their hidden skills. Even though I am still a high school girl now, I have told myself many times that I have to do my best in school and then, I will be able to fly to everywhere, to “spread” the eSports “theory” to everyone I meet. I know I can do it so I will see you . In a near future, I will be there! Woops. I made a long post. Ok. Now is the time for you to tell me your story. I'll see you there! BB p/s: you can read the topic which I read today in following li<x>nk: http://scforall.com/forums/forum04.asp?mNum=f01&PageNo=1&where=&query=&sterm=&articleNum=61 Love Junnie

Hi everybody! It's me, your little Junnie with her entry as usual around the things happened in her life in Vietnam. Oh god, today, I got many bad things behind to let me be the dynamite. Aw...It's hard to believe what I'll tell you now, I think so but it's the right time to express what I've been keeping these days..-___-v. Shall we start? Ok. thanks! Firstly, there's a big problem not only to Vietnam but also to me myself. The cost of fuel in Vietnam has reached new peak in history: 19.300 ~ 1.16 usd/litre. Hey, don't be surprised. It might be the cheapest thing ever for you in your place but that will be the BIG BIG BIG...or no...the TITANIC, HUGE ... (or whichever adjective you can find) problem for Vietnamese people. As compared to the price at the beginning of this year, the cost per each crude oil can (which noun?) reported to increase 35%. And having no factories to purify the crude fuel throughout our territory, we have to import all of the prepared products from oil from western countries. My family is an average family in Vietnam. In the past, my parents sometimes gave me about 20 - 30 USD per month (~ 300.000 -> 500.000 VND = Big money for 17 - year - old girl) and fed me well with 3 nice meals per day.what should i do to help them when the price is continously rasing while their income remains unchanged? That's the problem for my family which is considered to be a well - to - do family but how's about the others in Vietnam? In some families, both wife and husband cannot earn more than 300 USD per month while they have 2 daughters and each month, that 2 daughters take from them ~ 100 USD? 200 USD left for 4 mouths in a month? And bills? Vietnam is a poor country where 80% of its population live by agriculture. And now, if we have any natural disasters, it's likely that the crop will fail. With this current price for rice and food, it's kinda hard for us, the normal white - collar workers to support our life so how could we give the victims in a natural disaster our hands to help? When your leg is broken, you could only think of yourself, that's simple. Everything is mess in here, totally! The second thing I wanna tell you....aw...it's about my own problem in senior student. I've got a NEW SCHEDULE!!! I have to be at class from morning to early (?) noon, from mid noon to early in afternoon (?). And sometimes, after all of these things, I still cannot go home because there are still some classes around 7 PM. I asked my form teacher if i had good grades in coming examination (I'm not really stupid) and she allowed me to be absent from class and she said "no". What the heck? I never give a shit (care) about how I do something; I just do it and get it done. Man, I'm not a patient girl. I cannot sit hours after hours to learn by heart something I have no interest in at all. I cannot do it and I feel my school....just like....just like....A JAIL. "Being absent from class for 3 days? I'm sorry that you have to move to some other school. Cannot stand for this pressure? Ask me and I'll show you how" (she stressed "how") Aw....How could I pass this damn thing? There're still 11 months to go (including university entrance exam)....Aw....your little Junnie will be killed...Help me T___T HELP ME OUT OF HERE T..T

“Sir, yes Sir!” answers proA.NextTime Right after ESVN had posted a funny picture in which the leader of proArmy StarCraft team, Luu Vu Ha Trung—proA.SirTY, asked “Are you ready?”, his member, proaA.NextTime articulately answered “Sir, yes Sir!” with his first place in the WCG Vietnam StarCraft Final of Hanoi. ![]() Asked Sirty, answered Nexttime The two gamers who competed in the last set of matches, one of whom was a “veteran,” (proA.SirTY) the other was a “rookie,” (proA.NextTime) were both from proA, and both used Terran. Although Terran vs. Terran matchups are often regarded as “boring,” Terran vs. Terran matches between two “gosu” (Korean word for players with high skill) are not. And those matches were worthy to be the final. Both players demonstrated outstanding micro/macro skills. However, there could only be one winner; and after three intense matches, proA.NextTime, the currently best-ranked player, the winner of two consecutive ESL Tournaments proved to have the upper-hand. And let us all share the joy of a champion by the following interview. How do you feel right now when once again you have defeated your leader, proA.SirTY, in such an important event? All I can say is “Wonderful!” I have surpassed the one who one year ago, beating him even though in just one game could only be in my imagination. People said “The player who has potential can only do his best in the right environment;” I couldn’t agree more. From the time I entered proA, the leader as well as other members has been helping me a lot. Even though I have deafeted my own team mates, I feel that if I hadn’t got into proA, my place right now would have belonged to someone else. I’d like to dedicate this victory to all of them. Thank you proA, my friends; thank you SirTY, my leader. “The lucky gamer who just only shows up at the right time,” what do you think of that nick name that many people gave you? I don’t care much about what people say about me. “Showing up at the right time?” then maybe my idol, Boxer, has just been being lucky. If it had not been Boxer but another person, maybe we would never call him “The Legendary Boxer.” I think they might be right at some points too. [laugh] ![]() proA.Nexttime - the champion of WCG 2008 - Hanoi In your next trip to the South, which player do you feel the most hard to face? He is Q9)AutumnWind. Although Zerg vs. Terran has never been his favourite, he always has an “irritating” way of playing. I think AutumnWind is a very strong opponent for anyone who’s aiming for the championship. Which means your goal is to be the best StarCraft player of Vietnam in this event? Certainly, I think every serious player aims for this too. Have your parents known about this yet? Of course, I phoned my parents right after I had won. ![]() From left to right: proA.Nexttime - i don't know :P - proA.SirTY - Dream.SCVN So they must be proud of their son. Before the final, did you have any support from your parents or family members? Sure. They’re really proud. I can feel the happiness of my mother through her voice on the phone. However, before that, I didn’t get any cheers. My parents just told me “Lose quick to go to class, will you?” What an ironic. [laugh] Thank you for your interview. We hope in the national final, you will keep dedicating great matches for the audience. We wish you well and successful. Thank you. Two day with great moments of intensity, surprise, and happiness have passed by. And the WCG Vietnam 2008, StarCraft Final of Hanoi has successfully ended, leaving the audience with a pleasant experience that they could not easily forget. The WCG is without doubt the most important event for every seriously players of eSport. Well, finally, 3 gamers who will fly to Ho Chi Minh City soon to attend the national final are: proA.Nexttime (1st), proA.SirTY (2nd), Dream.SCVN (3rd). If nothing's wrong, I'll fly with them to Ho Chi Minh so stay stun for my update about WCG Vietnam 2008 in StarCraft: Broodwar section. Thanks for your reading source: esport.vn Special thank to [nG]Light for helping me with translating
