Last week-end took place a Lan tournament in France, Aix-en-Provence. Since I study in Nice, which is not far away from Italy, ShUn, who hosted me in Milan during WCG 2006, joined me in Nice. He arrived via a sucky Italian train on Friday evening. After I introduced him to my gf Rachel, we all 3 went to an Indian restaurant (with some weird bread to eat :D) Then during the evening, Mireille, along with Septerran, msged me on msn, telling me that he failed to take the right plane and thus had to land in Nice on Saturday morning. So we, with ShUn, took them at the airport, for 1 hour and a half of car from Nice to Aix. There I showed them the PC room, where they haved played during the afternoon. Then when the lan started, I came back to Aix to meet all the players. I already knew most of them due to the previous lan tournaments, and I also met the Swedish ReturN and the German Benrath. It was kinda funny to see some "foreigners" here in France, which is not one of the leading SC countries in Europe ;D Then, with ShUn again, we went back to Nice at like 4 am. I was sooo tired when driving that we had to stop twice on the way to sleep for one hour, else I would have fallen asleep on the road. So as I did not want to kill ShUn, I have just been careful ;D These two days with "Starcraft" people have been very fun. Was nice to meet all those Swedish guys, and also spend some time with my friend Sebastian to teach each other some words in French and Italian :D I hope a new tournament of this kind will take place soon! When GosuGamers first added the GosuBets to its website, I was a bit perplex. I didn't think it would work, and I didn't think I would be part of the GosuBet team one day. But after I entered GosuGamers as an event admin and then left the site, I contacted epidiOn, GB/DB team leader on that time, to inform him about some database entries missing. That's how I entered the GB team again, and how I started to enjoy adding matches. Since I rejoined the crew in early March 2006, I have added more than 2000 matches to the GosuGamers Database. What makes me keep working is the desire to create a more and more accurate database, especially the top30. This is why I love to post the monthly rankings, and I like to see the way people appreciate the rankings more and more. | |||||||||||||||||||
