1. DracoHe's the number one on the non-Korean scene, why wouldn't I want to see him play in StarLeague? Not very active at the moment, ( last time I heard from him he was playing Diablo 2) Chris would still be one of the top contenders for the title. Please come back, Nalepka. Sure, winning ProGamerLeague in China was a great way to end your active career, but please - only one season? 2. MYM.hbqThe Terran Chinese player of MeetYourMakers is a strong player, and has a 9-6 record in the GousGamers Database. Though we haven't really see him go up against the best of the best from the European scene, that's why it would be interesting to see him in the StarLeague. Sure, he played in FragBet League for MYM, but with various results: A loss to iNfeRnaL, sO.o and Mondragon - but also winning versus the latter. hbq playing in the StarLeague would be a stellar time for him to show his skills. 3. AdvokateWe have three Russian players already in StarLeague - but what's wrong with a fourth? Advokate is a solo league player. You all remember Team Liquid Tour where he showed he was none to be taken lightly. In my opinion, Russia's best Terran player is a must in the StarLeague. If there's someone who should stop all the Protoss players, it's Dmitry Demichev. 4. LamerLaMeR showed in the first round of Qcup that he is not only a World Cyber Games dominator. He made it all the way to the top, and most recently (yesterday) he was one of the players who took down Templars of Twilight in the first playday of iCCup Clan League. He has played in three WCG finals in a row - why not take a shot in playing the StarLeague? Plus, his bunker rushes in the final versus Yulla were awesome. 5. SmuftSmuft, the man, the myth, the legend. If you think of Canada, you might say Testie. A true oldschool player will say Grrr.... In between, we have Smuft. The Canadian shamelessly entered the ProGamerLeague qualifier, taking down name after name in the qualifier, but in the playoffs losing to IefNaij and then Draco. He showed he was capable of defeating numerous of players that are already in the StarLeague - why not do it again and give us more of the precious Smuft replays?

Las year DaZe came out victorious after playing Mireille in the Grand Finals of StarCraft. The year before that Draco was the winner. This year, being summer and all, there aren't that many hot shot profiles. Sure, Sweden can boast with the national team and Team NaW's hotshots dAtoby and ZpuX, but other than that there aren't that many top notch gamers in this summer's tournament. No DaZe this time, neither Mireille nor TreK or KaaZ. Although, we see the Czech Demolition Squad with a set of players which has been a tradition since a couple of years back. CDS)Crow has actually ended in third place two times, surely a great achievement from the young Czech player. He will certainly be a player for the Swedish players to watch out for. Known for his cheesing strategies, he can most likely strike several players out of the brackets. In WarCraft 3 on the other hand, we have lots and lots of foreign players. How about the MYM squad consisting of Moon, Lucifer, Focus, Susiria and EVE? Or perhaps Creolophus, Giacomo, TeRRoR, Ciara, MyWa, Konna, Ghost and Geno? This year's competition in the WarCraft 3 tournament is stunning, and the chances for a Swedish player to win it this year look pretty slim. Sure, super talents such as FuRy, KnOfF, SaSe or last year's winner LiiLD.C look strong as ever, but the Koreans have been looking very focused and concentrated. This DreamHack is an excellent boot camp for the upcoming WC3L finals in Germany. The DotA tournament has a high number of Swedish teams playing, but the favorite team is the reigning champion MeetYourMakers, though with a different lineup this time. Maelk, Merlini and the rest of the guys have a strong team and seem very eager and hungry to win a second time in a row. Their main contender is Team Team, with Loda who was the one who lead the old MeetYourMakers team to victory last winter. I would say it's a fifty fifty chance on whether TT or MYM will win - so the odds of seeing a Swedish team/player win this tourmanent might be a bit bigger than in the SC and WC3 tournament, but still uncertain.

Deutschlands Kranke Horde just defeated Czech Demolition Squad over having the longest clan name, and is officially the team to mess up a result table! :D I <3 both teams, though.

We don't need no Korea! Sure, the Top 2 players were Korean, but the organization is all thanks to the eSport-friendly Germany and the ESL along with a caring Blizzard Entertainment who devote themselves fully to our game. Chris Sigaty (Lead Developer of WC3 and WoW) said that there were more of these tournaments to come. It's sad to know that WarCraft 3 doesn't get any support by the Korean eSports Assosciation, because the support the StarCraft progamers get are only for the good. Korea really has the best players in their country, but they are forced to immigrate to either China or Germany (Zacard) if they want to make the big money. ReMind's micro in the last match was so intense and very entertaining to see. Chris Sigaty said the same thing. And I'm almost sure that they had no idea that there were to be players who used their game platform like they do - with the speed, thought behind it, strategy and determination. Must feel pretty good to be the papa of Warcraft. Tomorrow's the last day, where we first will see MeetYourMakers versus World Elite. After that 4Kings await the winner of the previous mentioned name. It will surely be tense. I'll be heading back to my hotel now. The ESL guy wants us out of here. I'll see you guys tomorrow!

Day 2! And I'm sitting here in the press area, watching ToD play against Soju on the TV - with German audio cast. I'm getting to learn some German, I think. Or maybe it's just that it's the only thing I hear, so I get used to it. I was just at the player area where I saw ToD and Grubby take down ReMinD and Soju in the team match. The two European superstars surely knew how to communicate in-game. I guess it was also becuase of their experience together, but it all seemed to flow on. Another reason why 2on2 matches in the starleagues in Korea suck - they don't get to talk to eachother. Take a look at the Counter-Strike matches - try getting them to shut up. Communication is the key to great team work. Good that ESL has figured that out and actually let the players talk to eachother. But I wasn't just at ToD and Grubby. I also checked out the den of the Koreans, where ReminD and Soju were playing. ReMinD played reversed, I mean, his left hand on the mouse and his right to the left of his keyboard. Pretty interesting to see. I also like Soju, he has a calm and cool aura around himself somehow. It's a bit hard to get the chance to talk to most of the players, as they are playing both the WC3L and Battle.Net Season 4 Finals. hopefully tomorrow when only four players remain in the B.Net tournament I might have my chance with them. I promised myself to wake up so I could be here at 11:00, but the bed I'm sleeping in was so soft and nice so I didn't manage to get until 11:20. Although I had breakfast at 09:00, but I quickly went back to sleep. I got here at 12-ish though, just for the games to start. But as always at offline events there are delays. Now it seems like ToD is losing to Soju. I'd better stop blogging and continue watching the game. Maybe I'd learn something!
