http://www.youtube.com/v/XVsTrLW_04U&hl=en This is the opening to StarCraft: Ghost, sadly since the project has been put on hold, these cinematics will never grace out TVs for a long while. But just watch the trailer, full five minutes and already you get a small look into the characters and their personalities. Not only that, the graphics kick ass. Now this isn't some Shrek or Toy Story movie, it's mother fucking StarCraft. We've already seen the trailer for StarCraft 2, that one kicks just as much ass. These people know how to make their cinematics. So why not a full feature CGI film?! Now okay, so CGI movies don't have the greatest track record when it comes to action, take Final Fantasy for instance. That was pretty crap, but StarCraft would kick major ass. First off, it has nothing to do with 'spirits' and what not, this is more about the raw action and w/e story line they want to give it. But yah...I mean I've shown this trailer to so many people, and they were all like, wow that's a good trailer for a movie, and i'm like...it's a game cinematic...and then they ask, oh so whens the game coming out? and I tell them it's been shelved...and it's just a whole lot of disappointment...

So I'm stuck at school with nothing to do, well I could probably study, but instead I'm sitting in the library on the computer surfing on the internet. Sitting here, I realize that I am 6 weeks away from finishing school for the year, which means 6 weeks until I go back to WoW. :D My orc shammy is still currently level 62, hopefully when I go back there would have been a patch where I could reset my talents for free :D. I'm probably going to get to level 70 before WotLK comes out, but at the same time I need a new rig to run all the 'end'(wow doesn't really end anywhere...) game dungeons and stuff. So at the same time I save for my future education and tuition, i'll be saving up money for a new computer, at the same time saving up for who knows what. I've also been leaning towards studying more towards programming, i'm already in my 2nd year in the International Studies program at my school, but i've recently looked at the IT courses at my campus and am considering taking a few of them next year. If all else fails and I lose interest in my current program I can always take a victory lap and stay in school for a 5th year to take further classes in the IT program. It's kinda useless tho since I do go to a liberal arts school. Hahaha... Well I still have lots of time before I have to do anything, I think I'm just gonna go for a walk.

Well it's been a year a bit since I posted my first blog here, interestingly enough my first blog was about the largest MMORPG to date, World of WarCraft. Since then I've actually succumb to this game and I must say it's the most addictive game ever. It's hard enough running your own life, and this is why i stray away from games like The Sims. Why on Earth would I want to have to PRETEND to run someone else's life when my own is quite troublesome enough. So then what is World of WarCraft? It's definitely not a simulation, but it is dynamic enough to be a reflection of your person. Although there aren't enough combinations of armors and physical appearances to differentiate all players, it's game play allows you to mold your character into the character you want it to. For example the talent trees, you can choose which tree to follow and so would enhance your abilities in one tree. Once you've picked a tree then what about the armors you choose? In the end-game armors it will always be the same, save for those epic dungeon drops. Overall your character is fairly customizable. Next, the community. Being in raids and guilds, you get a sense of community. There are all kinds of people playing WoW that have level 70's, grandmas, soccer moms, CEOs, paper-boys, and all sorts of people. It's amazing. The phenomenon that is WoW is just incredible. I don't see how you don't want to play this game, other than the sheer amounts of hours you have to put into this game. I've put at least, AT LEAST 100 hours into this game, if not more. And there are several ways to play this game. You can enjoy this game for the quests, the raids, and the leveling. The lore itself for me is quite long and drawn out, and uninteresting. You can also do battlegrounds instead and test your skills in PvP. I have many friends who have a 2nd character just for battlegrounds. One of them keeps a level 29 to do Warsong Gulch, and plays him quite frequently. He has once won WSG within 7 minutes by coordinating several other players from the same server. I've never liked RP and will never try it. To me, that's the limit. When you start to pretend like you're actually that character, then you have way too much time on your hands. In closing, I'd like to say that yes WoW has many good features, but it's still addicting as hell =/. SAVE YOURSELVES!!! Or join me, I'm Roknaw on Arygos server, level 60 Elemental Orc Shaman. =D

People were on the edge of their seats for the announcement of the new WoW expansion, the Wrath of the Lich King. Women roared and men cried at the beautiful foliage of Northrend. Men wept as if seeing their first born, the irony being most men at the convention would probably never conceive of or with a women resulting in a baby. Of course I was never there, so I can only imagine the response. Although it was a joyous occasion it did not stop the largest country in land mass to intervene and stop the celebrations. At 01:14 hours last night, approximately 32 hours after the announcement of the new WoW expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, a Russian submarine had planted a Russian flag under the Lich King's throne claiming Northrend for themselves. The crew consisted of 50 scientists, 25 alchemists, 500 engineers, 3 guys in wet suits, and Androide; who single handedly microed through the icebergs using only one finger. There has yet to be an official response from the Lich King himself, but already as we speak the Lich King's forces have begun to make their own flag in the hopes of reclaiming their land again. But in the midst of their planting, a hired Russian ninja had captured their flag and is already, as I write this, half way back to his base at the Kremlin. This is the only thing stopping the Lich King from capturing the Russian flag which is already under his throne. So then technically in this backwards Capture the flag game, the Russians had doomed themselves...well played Russia...well played...

http://sc.gosugamers.net/news.php?id=5676 Read that news, it's good, it's exciting. Now let me give you a warning before you read the comments. There, that's your only warning. Now if you've gone on and read those comments then read the rest of this blog to see my take on it. Okay. It all starts with #5 - "China calls themselves communists, but they are far from comu ^^" Then #6 produces this statement - "#5 i agree... and in some aspects its even better than democracy" WRONG - The communism he's referring to is not the system of government, so instead of democracy, it's capitalism, and trust me China is quite as far from a democracy... This goes on to induce this edit and statement from a player from Denmark, #9 - "EDIT: Totally disagrees with #6 by the way. CHina has a suck ass rule, with a supressing goverment exterminating Falun gong followers, and sterilizing Tibetan women. Screw the chinese goverment" And so it begins... The internet first began as a way for scientists around the world to connect and share information. No doubt, far more important and intelligent documents were sent back and forth. Since then the internet has evolved into a medium so that even a 10yr old could use. Thus the advent of wide spread porn, bad manner, and illegal file sharing (feel free to take porn out of this list of "bad" things). Furthermore it creates midunderstanding, confusion, and lies. Oh, the irony must be the ignorance that the internet spreads as well...who would have thought mass-communication which was meant to spread knowledge would spread ignorance even more so. First off, let's figure out who the Falun Gong is: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/A2922644 I trust BBC news, if anyone else wants to show me a Chinese website go ahead, but this is the same country that controls it's own media. If that didn't hint anything to you...then you must live in China =). As for the sterilization of Tibetan women, I'm not too sure. Then again China has put measures in to punish women who break the one-child law through forced abortions and sterilization. After Gohan_fighting, the rise of the Phoenix, #10 - "#9 no offence but you have no idea what you are talking about. Falun gone followers were causing terrorists attack in Chinese TianAn Square so they were considered as "illegal" community because they are anti-Chinese government. Sterilizing Tibetan women is a very minor case considering their bombing in the Chinese railways. I dont know in Denmark, but in Canada if some minority race group bombs railyways they go to prison for life, which is worse than sterilization I believe. What I think is if China is on the rise, their government shouldn't be that suck :)." It's not hard to tell that either Aurora_Phoenix is chinese, or a Chinese fan. He later states his support for a China that will soon overshadow Korea's gaming scene. Hey buddy, i'm offended even if I'm Chinese myself, but Korea = the Mecca of gaming...China can always be a Medina of sorts. So as I was saying, Aurora definately supports China all the way. As for Falun Gong being a terrorist organization, I think that is very very far from the fact, even if they are anti-Chinese government, but then again protest isn't exactly legal either. And Tibetan's being Terrorists...well that's the first I've ever heard of it. And prison in life < sterilization? I guess that's a matter of opinion depending on whether you are a male or female I guess. And lastly, "What I think is if China is on the rise, their government shouldn't be that suck :)." Oh yah, they couldn't possibly be on the rise because of the exploitation of their people, the market controlled RMBI being low for increased exports...nooo...it has to be their flawless government policies that help over 1/6th of the world's population progress into the glorious future for China. Oh and believe me I'm quite spiteful at the fact that Beijing gets to host 2008 Olympics and NOT Toronto, because you know what? Paint all the grass as green as you want, but we all know they're not green underneath it all. So then this leads to further responses! So it's too much to put them all in so here are my quick responses! #20 ohisit - "by the way, what is the right country, or right organization of country? who tell u that? why do u not be fooled? stupid." Right, that's a good way out, let's argue ideology while China continues to commit gross human rights violations. Awesome. The thread quickly swerves out of perspective as the credibility of every poster's country is put into question. It's ridiculous because at that point no country in the world could speak-up against human rights violations because they have all commited it. If anything, it should be the credibility of the poster's that are put to question and the sources in which they cite. If anyone ever wonders why they have to have bibliographies made in school, this is the reason because the simple fact is that your opinion doesn't matter. It is only the position in which you take based on the previous events and facts that are clearly cited which support your position. If people are to further discuss national policies and political ramblings, I suggest they do it more professionaly and cite sources. The amnesty was a good start, and the counter to amnesty's credibility was also interesting, but it is again a NGO, which should have autonomy from the states in which they operate...unless they've been corrupted =/.
