Starcraft, What the?!Recently if anyone has been listening into a shoutcast of mine you've heard me ask some rather stupid questions and even confuse myself at times. Well it's time for me to share my thoughts and reasons for those happenings. I've been playing Starcraft for a very long time and there's always been things that have mislead and confuse me. I'm the type of person who loves to understand anything I can and there's just something about Starcraft that boggles my mind. Here I'll give a quick example. A gateway, you warp in all of your buildings as protoss.. why do you need a gateway to bring units? Could you not select anywhere and have the unit warp to that point?.. Think about that one the next time you're playing Protoss. There's many others, like Medic's for example, how do are they capable of healing any non-mechanical unit in minimal time, last time I checked you get shot with a bullet you're out for more than a few seconds. You'll be enjoying that bed you're in for a while longer.. Perhaps medics don't actually heal but bring some confidence into those soldiers by promising nasty things during that oh so pleasent "healing sound".. The last one for now I'll talk about is the INFINATE amount of ammo a unit has, I think it's awesome because it allows for something total interesting in a game, but could you imagine if you're terran having to go back to a bunker after a certain amount of shots to refil on ammo? Hydralisks having to go to a spawning pool to "rehydrate their acid" or Zealots to get their psi swords repaired at a robotics facility? It would add such a twist to the game and change it completly.. Those are just a few things that you may have heard me rant about during shoutcasts. Now you know why and you can expect many more in the future because there's always questions but sometimes never answers.
