Tempest slated to face TNL after epic series against Mighty

The second season of Super League 2016 has given us some incredible matches, and the most recent lower bracket finals between Tempest and Mighty was no exception.

The last Summer Champion spot for a Korean team to represent their nation alongside MVP Black is stil up for grabs but Mighty is officially out of the running. Tempest defeated their rivals 3-1 in a set that seemed like it could have gone either way-- each match was filled with epic plays and nailbiting moments.

After losing the first game to some incredible Falstad play on the side of Tempest, Mighty bounced back, drafting a nearly identical composition featuring Falstad, Sonya, and Muradin. Mighty had shared earlier that they had been practicing this style of standard play specifically, and that practice seemed to have paid off. They were able to hold their own and tie the series 1:1

However, Tempest answered right back with Stitches and Falstad draft that took full advantage of Mighty Gust and Hook isolating a single target. These style of picks often left them with a 4v5 adavantage allowing things like this to happen. The synergistic strategy paid off and and Tempest took the lead 2-1.

WIth momentum on their side, Tempest drafted the iconic triple warrior that Korea is so well known for. Tyrael, Sonya, and Muradin supported by Kharazim creates an unstoppable front line that is as tanky as they are deadly. The 4 melee heroes gave the remaining hero, Falstad, all the time he needed to control the battlefield with sustained dps and, of course, Mighty gust.

The draft seemed fated to win over Mighty's solo E.T.C backed by Li-Ming, Thrall, Greymane and Rehgar. Sure, the burst damage and follow up after a Power Slide is incredible, but against such a tanky line up, how are you actually going to secure any kills? Mighty was able to make some huge come backs thank to insane 5-man mosh pits, but you can't rely on that every team fight.

Team No Limit and Tempest will now face off 15 hours from this posting to determine who will make it to the Summer Championship main event in Sweden.
