In this game we have Kwaksa[saM] warping in at 12 o'clock while his opponent Start lands his command center at the bottom of the map. The game starts off with standard openings from both players. Start walling in while getting his factory and Kwaksa getting a cybernetics core and soon thereafter dragoon range. But Kwaksa isn't going for a standard opening, as soon as Start loses his scouting scv Kwaksa starts a citadel opting for quick dark templars.

Kwaksa moves his first two dragoons down to harrass Start while starting his templar archives. As the dragoons move into his natural Start moves out with 3 marines and his first tank, the dragoons snipe the tank and one of them manages to get into Starts main allowing Kwaksa to scout Starts entire main. Spotting the almost finished command center along with a single factory and after taking a lap around the main he also spots Start starting to build an engineering bay. As the goon leaves Starts base he begins his 2nd factory and lands the command center at his natural expansion. At the same time Kwaksa starts his natural expansion and sends an additional two dragoons and one zealot down to pressure the Start further. He kills an scv delaying Starts detection as dark templars are on their way.

Dark templars arrive killing the halfway done turret as well as two tanks before being trapped by stacked scvs allowing Start to barely defend as his second turret finishes. one of the dark templars make it out and together with the two remaining dragoons tries to take down the turret but the dark templar dies at the same time as the turret does and Kwaksa is unable to inflict any further damage. Meanwhile Kwaksa started a nexus the 2 o'clock expansion.

Both players take a minute to get their macro going, Kwaksa as well as adding two new gateways also gets observers and starts a forge, later adding cannons to his 2 o'clock expansion. Start now has four factories but no further tech or upgrades.


Start very quickly moves out, attempting a timing push to get back in the game. With an army consisting of seven tanks and four vultures he moves towards the protoss natural across the map killing a couple of stray dragoons along the way.

Kwaksa intercepts the push outside his natural and with some reinforcements forces Start to retreat being chased all the way back to his natural across the map.

Kwaksa is now up to 8 gateways and also adds a stargate preparing to get arbiters. Start is still on 4 factories and only now adds an armory. Kwaksa got himself a big early game lead.

Start sends out a small pack of vultures to try and secure some map control, planting mines outside the bridges leading to the Kwaksa natural aswell as the ones leading towards the 11 o'clock expansion. Having taken control of the 2 o'clock expansion Kwaksa now expands to his mineral only corner expand.

Start moves out again, this time with seven tanks and ten vultures. The armies engage in the middle of the map and despite his economic advantage Kwaksa is clearly outnumbered having spent a lot of resources on tech and defence. The terran push moves on towards Kwaksas natural and Kwaksa makes another attempt at breaking the attack and with some excellent use of shuttled high templars is able to kill the majority of the terran army with storm despite being severly outnumbered.

As Starts reinforcements arrive he aims to set up a contain outside the bridges leading to the protoss natural. Kwaksa immediately makes another attempt at breaking the push but is forced to back off as Start is now set up in a very strong position and there is a large minefield outside of the Kwaksas choke.

Start moves part of his army to attack the 2 o'clock expansion. As Kwaksa has blocked it off to avoid harass (also effectively blocking in his mineral only corner making it very time consuming for Start to try and attack it) he is now unable to defend the expansion as his main choke being blocked by Starts units. Kwaksa yet again tries to break the contain but fails badly.

After Kwaksa lost most his army trying to break the contain Start moves in for the kill, pushing via the bridges into the Kwaksas natural. Kwaksa is able to defend due to the narrow brdiges and makes yet another attempt at breaking the terran containment, this time coming very close to succeeding as Start has a slip in his macro.

Start finally breaks through the 2 o'clock blockade leaving the protoss corner expansion open, Kwaksa suffers major probe losses as he at the same time tries to re-expand to 2 o'clock but it gets shut down quickly by a fresh group of vultures. It's now looking very bleak for Kwaksa as his economy is in shambles while Start has safely expanded to 5 o'clock.

Kwaksa moves around back exiting via 2 o'clock, trying to muster a counter attack.
This forces Start to move part of his army from the contain outside the Kwaksa natural but Kwaksa 's real intentions were not to counter attack via ground, instead he recalls into Starts main. Start loses almost his entire army trying to defend his main. mainly due to being stormed while his units were clumped trying to move up the ramp into his own main. At the same time as the recall Kwaksa sent a small force of zealots and dragoons to the terran expand at 5 o'clock, effectively shutting down the expansion.

Now Kwaksa is back in the drivers seat, Start went from looking completely dominant to completely lost in less than two minutes, he now only has one working expansion, he's down to 4 factories and has very few units. Meanwhile Kwaksa is back up at 3 expansions, broke what was left of the containment outside his natural and has almost twice the population of Start.

Start attempts some vulture harass killing a fair amount of probes, but the damage is negligible with how far behind he is. Start pushes out with his last remaining units as his natural is drying up, knowing he doesnt have enough to attack he tries to take back control of his 5 o'clock expansion. Kwaksa doesn't try to break the terran defense but instead expands to 9 o'clock.

After a bit of buildup Start tries to attack once again, this time moving towards the 3 o'clock expansion.

Kwaksa ignores the attack, letting his expansion fall instead opting to recall into the terran main base. Knowing he cant get back in time to defend his main Start continues forward. After a battle with the part of Kwaksas army that wasnt recalled Start is left with 7 tanks and 4 goliaths and as his main is destroyed he no longer has any means of production.

Start attacks the protoss expansion at 3 o'clock and manages to kill the nexus but after a recall on top of his units he's left with a mere 3 tanks and as Kwaksa attacks his only remaining base at 5 o'clock Start resigns.
