The long wait is over. The Swedish forces have finally made their way out of the meaningless peace time. The army is armed from top to toe and ready both physically and tactically. We've travelled far by transport units through the european seas and just arrived at the French east-, north- and westcoast in a surrounding attack. We're heading for Paris, controlling the capital is the key to success. Once unloaded from our dropships, we will engage combat immediately.
But the French are awaiting us, they know of our current position and are aware of our attacking locations. France is awaiting the battle and sent for reinforcements already long before we started to make the trip...
It's time for a war, a fight which has been simulated a couple of times before.  Sweden and  France have fought a friendly battle 3 times before. Each and every battle has been won by Sweden. However this time, both teams are using psionic storms which actually deal damage, and the ammunition in the marines' rifles are sharp loaded, ready to kill.
There have been talkings about the French warlord - who currently is working as a korean mercenary - returning to fight for his country. We've seen him before. ElkY has stopped Sweden in the previous battles but he can be beaten, and it has been done earlier this year. The question is how much it will cost us this time.
Anyway, here's the deal, check the map:
KeNKa is moving in from Stockholm by dropship, unloading close to the city Clermont-Ferrand (the east coast) where Jojos is awaiting him in a best out of three battle. Meanwhile, Daaman is flying down to play Kaiser close to Dunkreque in the top borders of the French kingdom. WhiZ will plan his attack from the left of the map to Chatellerault (west coast) where iD.Bundy will be facing him. WiLLEt, with his hands full of poker cards, will go straight down to Geneve and fight Aspeak, starting at Lost Temple.
The final battle will be played in the center of France - in the capital - Paris. The warlord ( ElkY) will be there defending it against his attacker - TreK. Some interesting replays to come there, eh?
It is for real now, the battle of power, honour, WGTour points, land and glory will soon begin. The attack is estimated Sunday 14th of December, 17.00 CET (T). Time until battle engagement is estimated T + ~10-15 mins. Walkover is set T + 30 mins. A walkover will be counted as a win, unless a reserve has replaced the main player in one of the matches within 30 minutes. Also, a number of 2on2's will be played, as soon as the survivors and the winners of the 1on1 matches are determined.
First map:  The Lost Temple. After that it's loser's pick, out of the WGTour Season 6 maps. Every match is played best out of three, and this game is an official WGTour nation vs nation match. Please do respect the privacy of the teams and the fact that your presence will disturb, so please do not join the official channel for this event. A full update of the battle will be published and replays will be uploaded, don't worry.

- "I'm standing here in the middle of an area called the blade storm, 20 miles left of Paris, we've just witnessed an awesome 2on2 battle between 4 really good players. Together with KeNKa I've seen an incredible turn from a great disadvantage to real kickass from the Swedish protoss players, in this long, intense and important game. Pure love to this game could be felt everywhere as SaFT "teh daddy" made a maelstrom on some mutalisks and Daaman successfully killing them with 2 perfect storms. I'm alive and unhurt, everyone is fine except that we lost WhiZ to the French (including his keyboard which he smashed himself after the loss), and everyone is happy for this great piece of work which has been pulled over today." - Mazor, live from Blade storm, France.
The first surprise we had was that the capital was not defended by the feared warlord. He did not show up, which was quite a defeat for the French forces - TreK could almost walk straight into Paris. It was still defended by a zerg called CriX[P.M] who beat TreK once but lost twice and Paris was taken. As this was going on, Daaman and WiLLEt struck down upon their enemies with great vengeance and furious anger. AspeaK[P.M] and KenShin both got a bullet in their heads (2-0) and were defeated. 3 cities remaining. However, we lost a player at the battle field. Earlier this week, U.F.O talked to me and said he couldn't join the attack. I picked WhiZ to take his spot in the dropship and away we went. WhiZ, however, was lost in battle at Chatellerault where BunDy shot him in the head, twice. The scoreboard at WGTour now said Sweden vs France 3-1, as JoJos left the battle field after 1-1 versus KeNKa at Lost Temple and Nostalgia. Just when we thought KeNKa had won the battle of Clermont-Ferrand on a surrendering by this enemy, we heard rumours from the French king (AlepH - Team FRA manager) that JoJos was about to return tonight, at midnight, and fight the last battle between him and KeNKa. While KeNKa was scouting Clermont-Ferrand for any local pubs and getting ready for the fight later this night, he was observing the 2on2 battle together with me.
The 2on2 battle
It was fought between  SaFT (2) and Daaman (7) vs  CriX[P.M] (5) and FR-Kaoru (11) on Blade Storm. The score already said 1-0 to the Swedish players in this match so this was the decider of it. (Not of the whole nation vs nation but this 2on2 match.) Saft and Daaman zealot-rushed Kaoru at the upper left and killed almost all of his drones. Two of them were remaning when the zerglings finally killed the last zealot. CriX had to do a one man show for now and did it quite good, expanding behind his main. The protosses expanded, Daaman built corsairs / dragoons and SaFT made templars and zealots. Kaoru did a great job recovering his economics and walled himself in with sunkens and spores and built mutalisks. The zergs did some great drops and harassing, killing nexus and fleeing etc, which caused chaos and pain in the protoss mains.
Saft and Daaman ran all over the map from here to there to defend themselves as the zergs attacked over and over again. As they were going hard versus Saft's economics it was getting hard as Daaman's nexus at his expansion was destroyed and both of the protosses were running out of money. Daaman had a big dragoon and templar army which he used very efficiently, and a dark templar running around the middle of the map with 38 kills before it was spotted and eliminated. SaFT now experienced a major attack to his expansion which killed it and the zergs were let free in his base. But as teh daddy was microing with his 3-4 zealots, an archon, some temps and some cannons, he actually held out quite long. Daaman was doing his best to counter-attack but the zergs were both defended by massive sunkens.
Daaman, without any income, gathered his forces and SaFT did the same (only some zealots and a dark archon) and they both attacked the middle, where the zergs where hanging out. And what a fight.

As the mutalisks were attacking I thought it was over, but there comes a maelstorm from SaFT's dark archon and Daaman's high templars killing them. The zerglings, hydralisks and mutalisks just did not manage to beat the zealot, dragoons and templar archive and the game had turned from a great zerg advantage to strong protoss power. Neither Daaman nor SaFT had a great income but neither did CriX or Kaoru. Daaman and SaFT took out Kaoru's natural expansion and finished the game by killing CriX's island which was his only remaining place of income.
This game was one of the most entertaining games I've ever seen since I began playing, I'm not sure if it beat Daaman and SaFT versus  LinYu and CpHk @ LT (the decider), but hell it was good. Before the French left the game, they put some evil spell on the battle field which made us unable to view the replay. We have not been able to make it work with the replay since it is corrupt, if anyone knows how to delete this evil spell please let me know and I'll upload the replay of this wonderful game. All I've got is a screenshot - not the best one but always something:

Update - December 16th, 15:31, 2003.
[s]nationvsnation[/s]The last game in the match between KeNKa and RiP-JoS ended yesterday with an advantage to Sweden. This was the third game in a best out of 3 series which ended 2-1 to KeNKa. This closes the last match in the nation war and changes the results from 4-1 to 5-1 between Sweden and France.
