Here is a blog about different acoustic guitar/finger style plays. Most will be rather unknown to most of you. Have fun!!

Masa Sumide - Keep Rockin' (Live)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLPLXvEm738
Here we have the song "Keep Rocking" fused with "Between a Rock & a Hard Place" by Masa Sumide, an Korean Finger Style guitarist. Really awesome song, just by watching it makes fun to play it. If anyone has Tabs for this >>> pm me :) Tuning is DAGDAD.

If - Bread by HuangChiaWei

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vvY6bJXAPLA
A great cover of a song from the 70's. Worth listening to it and easy to play, as it seems :D If anyone has tabs, pm me :) But I guess it is not hard to figure out how to play it by watching the Video.

Sungha Jung & Ulli Bögershausen - "Coming Home"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPsbxZqeQns
Another great song written by Ulli Boegerhausen. The tabs/songs can be found in the music book "10 Duets for Fingerstyle Guitar". Costs around 25€ and there are many arrangements in it like "the entertainer" or "auld lang syne". This song is one of the most beautiful in there. Will play it with a friend next after finishing some other stuff.

LAGQ: Pachelbel's "Loose" Canon

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHshlkCsAj4

The freaking famous "Los Angeles Guitar Quartett" with the most amazing arrangement of Canon by Pachelbel . It is worth listening through the whole song. It gets better and better by each second. I did once play it with a Quartett, but more in a traditional way. Their play blew off my mind.
Atm LAGQ exchanged a member, but I cannot recall who it was :)

Ulli Bögershausen - Hit the road Jack

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iG7GVZbxTuA

I have the TABS!!!! and I know how to play it ;) Fantastic cover, couldnt find any better and it is so much fun to play it. Might upload an own version later on. Groovie !

John Butler Trio - Ocean

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VAkOhXIsI0

I never thought that you could do something else than strumming on a 12 string guitar... this guy proves you can!!! There are many different versions of this song and this one is in my opinion the best one. When you buy the album or a live show album, you will find there different versions of this song (I know 4 by now) Will try to play this one here next after finishing another song. DAGDAD tuning.

That's all for now, far more will follow.

I wont post songs by Andy Mckee, whole Candyrat Group, Tommy Emmanuel and similar because everyone knows them. I'll sue you, if you do so in the blog. If you want any songs enlisted in Vol. 2, pm me or write in my guestbook :D

#2 gh isnt a difficult "game". It is far easier to master it, than a guitar.

Adding to that Andy Mckee isnt really that good. He is just more famous than other people who play better than him :C Makes me sad.

#7 Not really ^^ He is just famous due to Drifting. Many people just didnt know, that you could play guitar that way and when they 1st saw him, they thought, he must be really good. But finger style is a pretty old thing, check Michael Hedges, Kotaro Oshio, Steven King, Mason Williams, Don Ross or Lenny Breau. They should deserve all the fame but barely no one knows them. There were kinda the pioneers.
And as I said, he became lucky. One big reason for that is the rising popularity of YouTube, where his videos were uploaed by CandyRat. And the other thing is that many guitar playing people didnt know and still dow't know shit about tapping/finger style :D
Andy is still outstanding and awesome, but I'd compare him to Linkin Park, used to be good, became freaking bad. His newest Album did disappoint me a lot i.e. :/ 2-3 good songs, rest meh. Compared to his 1st or 2nd album, where he was more "unknown", he made awesome songs. Now people want more and more and more and that makes the whole guitar playing around him bad.
