The annual Proleague All-Star match took place this weekend, where the coaches from the two best team from last season, Samsung KHAN and OGN Sparkyz, assembled one dream-team each to duke it out for honor and glory.

It was easy to tell that this was a pure showmatch. Laughter and jokes were prevalent, players chatted and taunted happily mid-game and spirits were high all around. All the pro teams had representatives at the event and rivalries and differences were set aside for this one match. Below are the results of the match followed by a brief battle report. VODs of the games can be found on Jon747's account on YouTube . These games were quite entertaining and definitely worth watching!

Creolophus, the comeback man. Photo: GosuGamers.net
Olav "Creolophus" Undheim enters his first tournament since World Cyber Games 2007. Can the discharged superstar shock the world again?

Former team mate, FuRy, says that most likely Creolophus will not have a chance against Grubby, but that it is not for certain as he knows the Norwegian Night Elf player has practiced a bit.
- I have no idea how this ends, it will be interesting to see what this time of inactivity can infer, says FuRy.

Creolophus was given a direct invite to the European qualifier for BlizzCon 2008, after winning the BlizzCon global finals in 2007.

In an interview made by myMYM.com a while ago, Creolophus revealed that he was watching a lot of replays to catch up with the current strategies. He also mentioned he has played a little.
- I will try to get some more games...

KnOfF playing for Sweden in European Nations Cup. Photo: Julia Christophers
KnOfF enters the European qualifier for BlizzCon 2008 tomorrow after a good start of the autumn season. With wins over xiaOt and Ghost in WC3L and Ciara and Bringer in Nations Cup, the Swedish Orc player looks to be in a shape that reminds us of his early time in Mousesports.

Fredrik "KnOfF" Knopf was the name on everyone's lips when he defeated Grubby at an inCup tournament in early 2007. Being picked up by Praetoriani the day after, KnOfF was the new Orc on the block. Not long after serving Praetoriani, KnOfF joined Mousesports and became one Europe's most discussed player. Some doubted his skill, some said he was the next Grubby. Known for playing a high amount of ladder matches, KnOfF was labeled a mass-gamer who only did good on the ladder while losing the official...

Happy wearing Mousesports shirt. Phot: readmore.de
Last time Dmitriy "Happy" Kostin was in the spotlight was when he left Mousesports. When Mousesports decided to restructure its Warcraft squad and take a sabbatical from the WC3L, Happy left the team because of his strong urge to play in the WC3L. Since then, little has been heard from the young Undead player. But after a successful ladder season, Happy is qualified for the European Battle.Net Season 6 finals, and will play ToD in the first round.

Happy started his career in the Russian-based team es4x, and had after that a short stay in A.S Teamplay.it until he was picked up by Mousesports. In WC3L and later on NGL-ONE, Happy was a sure pillar to lean on as he claimed win after win for his team. But when offline tournaments outside of Russia approached Mousesports could all too often count out the Russian...

On August 30-31st, Xeris TT1 hosted CAN-LAN, which they organised themselves as Canada didn't receive a WCG BW spot this year and they wanted to compensate for that fact. Some prizes were given out for preregistering, in order to make the LAN run smoother, but there were far better prizes at stake for the real thing, which was hosted in Montreal at Gamer's World.

Prize Chill$25With over 20 players participating, the LAN was a great success, with IefNaij coming in first and claiming himself the $300 dollar top prize, along with a Raidmax PSU sponsored by Binary Beast, a new-ish tournament system. He didn't meet much resistance, losing only one game in the group stages before storming...

The Hungarian WCG finals began at semis, with four players qualified: Ace, Kashu, Naib, and Dromedar. Ace's first opponent was Kashu, who was Hungary's last representative in WCG (2006), but this didn't stop him from winning 2-0 in a zvz and a zvp.

Ace then went on to play Naib, who had eliminated Dromedar in a 2-0 series, and won convincingly in a 2-0 ZvP victory, securing his place at the finals. Ace will be the fourth ToT member to qualify for the finals, along with Mondragon and Ret.

League profiles and eXpertise manager reveals ViOlet has joined SK Gaming.

Dong Hwan 'ViOlet' Kim has been a frequent name in the columns the past week. Successful in the Korean Ameteur Challenge, NiceGameTV WarCraft League, joining fnatic, leaving fnatic, joining eXpertise. But the story of the Korean Orc player ViOlet does not end there, as today he is listed as the newest player of SK Gaming.

eXpertise manager, Jacob 'DooKi' Draper says in a fresh interview that ViOlet has signed a contract which was received a couple of days ago. This contract should hinder ViOlet to join any other team, but as history proves a contract has not stopped players from switching teams before.

No statement has been published at SK-Gaming.com yet.

After losing to HATE-LOVE-ANGER playing Human in WC3L, it seemed tough for Lyn to advance from his group in NiceGameTV WarCraft Leagie. In his group, Lyn's former Lof team mate Myth and World Elite's lead star Sky were placed. Two days ago, Lyn saw his team mate ReMinD advance to the playoffs. And why should Lyn settle for anything less?

Bladestorming his way through the Human opposition to victory made sure Lyn will be able to enjoy the Korean-based league a while longer. Lyn was placed against Sky in the first round, and made sure the footmeen harass did not scar him too much. Lyn put high pressure on the former double world champion Sky, and could then finish the game off with higher-leveled heroes. The last game against Myth was played out in a similar fashion, and when Myth typed out Lyn was crowned group winner.

Myth claimed the second spot after a...

Ciara and his crew in Copenhagen ProGamers will not have to worry about facing ViOlet in today's match against eXpertise. Due to the Korean Orc's quick sejour in fnatic, Copenhagen ProGamers was given the opportunity to hinder the Korean starlet for playing today. With their minds set on victory, the Danes disagreed on letting ViOlet play.

Winner of today's match qualifies for the NGL-TWO, while the loser will have to continue their run in the loser bracket.

eXpertise manager DooKi feels sorry for the fans who will not be able to see ViOlet go up against Ciara.
- Quite obviously we will be relying on our other strengths to come out on top, and believe CPG will need to do the same, says DooKi.

The league rules states that a player is not allowed to play against clans he already faced with his former clan in the same season. However, this does not apply to ViOlet, as eXpertise and Copengahen ProGamers did not play each other.

However, the rules also say that that a...

After four days in fnatic the Korean Orc talent ViOlet leaves and returns to his old team.

- Sadly he continued discussions with eXpertise even after agreeing to join us and we're sorry to the community for this, says Elroy "Noname" Pinto, general manager of fnatic and says that it was a mistake on their own part.

The press release leaves a lot of questions unanswered, as Noname keeps the reasons for ViOlet's departure in the shadow.

ViOlet's career has skyrocketed after his success in the NiceGameTV WarCraft League as well as the first place in fnatic's very own Korean Amateur Challenge.

ViOlet will now continue his career in NGTV/WeRRa, the Korean guild that recently merged with eXpertise.
