Blizzard broadcasts their conference call

Posted by Lasse "Get.Enron" Engen 2 years ago
Five months ago, Blizzard had a conference call, and the bad news hit us. No beta in 2009. It's time for another conference call, will we be getting good news this time?

On Wednesday the 10th of February Blizzard releases their 2009 results calendar and will also hold a conference call that will be broadcast over the Internet.
Last year on August the fifth we got the bad news that the beta would not see the day of light because of the development of the new Battle.net platform, and it had been pushed to the first half of 2010.

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Jan 20, 2010 /PRNewswire via COMTEX News Network/ -- Activision Blizzard, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI) intends to release its fourth quarter and calendar year 2009 results after the close of the market on Wednesday, February 10, 2010. In conjunction with this release, Activision Blizzard will host a conference call that will be broadcast over the Internet.

Wednesday, February 10, 2010
1:30 pm Pacific Time (4:30 pm Eastern Time)

In hopes for new announcements, the expectations are of course sky-high, this could be the day that Blizzard announces the beta date, and maybe a release date for Starcraft 2. It's still speculations if they will announce anything, but this is in fact broadcast over the Internet.

Considering their track record for the past 9 months, I'm skeptical this is any good news.

Good news? I doubt it.. I mean they're so desperate to create hype its disgusting.
SC2 will come out when it comes out, no point in thinking it will happen soon. If it does then great but dont expect anything different from 'no lan cause we need more $' 'no game cause we need to milk wow players dry'

#10 I don't think they want to make hype like this if they didn't have any good news. They've had to listen to the sad community for a while now after the pushback announcement. So if their intentions is to make hype by making this conference call, it's probably good news.

i doubt blizzard would host a public conference call online just to slam a big facepalm in everyone's computer screens

theyre not gonna do this to make everyone pissed off and laugh in their faces

they'll definitely go over the status of their projects and future projects
