WCG06: White-Ra, the Beast from the East

[s]event_315[/s]

White-Ra fought bravely against iloveoov, but lost 0-2. Afterwards GosuGamers caught up with him.
- Second game I was really close in winning, his last shot killed my shuttle with reavers, he says.

White-Ra ended in second place in his group, which led to him facing iloveoov, an incredibly difficult opponent, in the first elimination round. Just after the defeat, GosuGamers got to talk to the Protoss player.

The Beast from the East, right after losing.

The first game against iloveoov, White-Ra did a sneaky two Gateway Dark Templar rush, but iloveoov saw it coming and managed to destroy White-Ra's base and then won the game. The second game was indeed the closest one. White-Ra's reaver drops slowed iloveoov down quite a bit. However, iloveoov did not lose that many attack units - it was his peon line that got crippled. White-Ra says that he got very unlucky when his shuttle went down with the reaver inside.
- If it hadn't died I might have won, he says.

White-Ra says that he's been playing games against Ex and Androide to practice for this game against iloveoov. He says that he's been playing 15 games per day for a month now to be able to cope with the powerful Korean Terrans.
- But it was not enough, some people play 20 games per day, he says. He mentions that he plays a lot of games every week, keeping two days free to do other things.

When we asked for him to rate his performance, he shook his head and said that he expected to be in the Top 8 instead of Top 16. He thinks that if he had been able to avoid the Koreans, he would have had a much better shot.
- Then I would be in the final, he says and winks.

White-Ra has no intention to stop playing after this. He says that, being part of his clan BOSS and working at a computer magazine with many visitors, he's in a great place right now.
- I will come back next year, he says. Finally, he would like to thank the entire community for being so friendly. He also thanks GosuGamers, though he ends jokingly by commenting that we post too much news.
