According to custom, this year's eStars event will be held in Seoul, South Korea, from 13th through 15th August. The illustrious gaming rendez-vous will feature as always two battlefronts: East and West, where top-notch players are aligned. A voting system will contribute heavily in the qualification.
Prima facie, the candidates list show many shining stars in the western pool. In fact, the epic triplet of Jang 'Moon' JaeHo, Yoon 'SocceR' DeokMan and June 'Lyn' Park from Wemade FOX team as well as veteran Kim 'ReMinD' SungSik are among the nominees. Cherry on the pie, the creme de la creme of the Chinese talents such as Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li and Zhuo 'TED' Zeng can be found in the list.
The Eastern pool's gleam will not equal the Western's but a few names within the list are obviously up to par with the aforementioned players. 'Manuel 'Grubby' Schenkhuisen, recent NGL-One Finals runner-up, as well as his ex-teammate Dmitriy 'Happy' Kostin will tip the scales towards the European side.
The fanvote will weigh by 50% in the qualification. 30% of the score will take into account the results in the recent major events and the last 20% will be allocated to the eStars Committee's decision. Only three players from each pool will be picked up.
The voting will be open from May, 10th through June, 13th. The final participants' list will be released on June, 28th.
