SMM DotA has officially started!!! SMM's CEO, Dato' Dr. Ricky Lim to officiate the opening ceremony at the same time congratulating all international participants for coming.
Before the ceremony started, there was a stage performance by a dance group called "Rebels". They did a cheerleading dance with some amazing moves. Forming a human pyramid of three storeys.
During the opening ceremony, EHOME, SMM08's champion was asked to return the Challenge Trophy to the organizers. EHOME's manager was accompanied by a real life Warcraft Orc as he heads on stage to return to trophy. Once the trophy was in place, that marked the official opening of SMM DotA 2009.
The group drawings soon followed with MYM being drawn into an easy group with INC'Xlo, PMS|Asterisk and Ftz-Asia. The MYM boys were very happy to be drawn against the pretty and cute girls from PMS|Asterisk. AEON.DotA is drawn into Group B along with EHOME, Xt.Reborn and VA.w4si. EHOME will need to come up on top to ensure that they can defend their title as SMM08 champions.
