Brian Hastings Wins First WSOP Bracelet

Brian Hastings has been a dominant player in the online poker scene both in tournaments and in nose-bleed cash games. A Pennsylvania native, Hastings relocated to Vancouver, British Columbia last year in an effort to preserve his bankroll and continue his success as an online poker pro following the events of Black Friday.

His victory in the $10,000 Heads-Up No-Limit Hold’em World Championship was worth $371,498, but Hastings says this win was about more than just the money.

"I've had much bigger scores than this online," Hastings says "But there's only
one gold bracelet, and this means more than the money to me."

Hastings has scooped at least two $1,000,000 plus pots in online cash games and has several six-figure online tournament scores. But despite his impressive online results he had yet to make a name for himself in the live poker arena. His two previous cashes in WSOP-related events came from an eighth-place
finish last year at WSOP Europe and an 11th-place finish at West Palm Beach during last season’s WSOP Circuit.
