A.P. Phahurat Wins 2012 Chad Brown Challenge

The 2012 Chad Brown Challenge $2000 Main Event took place last weekend at the Choctaw Resort in Durant, Oklahoma with 258 players participating, including Chad Brown, Dennis Phillips, Layne Flack, Gavin Gsmith and Robert Williamson. Four days later, 22-year-old A.P. Phahurat emerged victorious, taking home the $116,449 for first place.

Phahurat has been playing poker for four years, spending the bulk of last year traveling the World Series of Poker Circuit chasing a gold ring and a seat in this summers National Championship. He locked up $68,942, cashing in nine events along the way including three final tables and a two runner-up finishes.

The final table of the Chad Brown Challenge Main Event offered up some tuff competition, including WSOP Circuit champs Seneca Easley, and poker veterans Andy Philachack and Jared Jaffe, with career earnings of $1.2 million and $674,000 respectively.
